Maya is a feral kitten whom we adopted just a week ago, and we are first-time pet parents 🐱🤍

She’s incredibly loving and such an affectionate little kitty.

Right now, we’re training her to sleep in her own bed and use the litter box for wees and poos — and honestly, she’s doing really well.

Until last night 😭

Around 2am, she did a wee on our bedding because we had been giving her too many cuddles and let her sleep with us… and we forgot to place our bamboo-cotton waterproof blanket on top 💧

Safe to say… we are NEVER forgetting it again 😅

Lesson learned — because cleaning and washing an entire bed in the middle of winter is definitely not the vibe ❄️

A little bit about Miss Maya 🐱🤍

She was an abandoned kitten. One day, our neighbour knocked on our door for the very first time and asked if we would like to take her in.

We were so surprised because we had already been thinking about getting a cat… so we instantly said yes ✨

She was very sick when we got her — she had fleas, worms, and the flu. But after treatment, care, and a lot of love, she’s slowly getting better every day 🤍
