Olinda Located in the vibrant and historical goldfields town of Castlemaine in Central Victoria and only just over an hours drive from central Melbourne or jump on an express train from Melbourne's Southern Cross station. This Charming Shop with

it's stained glass windows and original interior dating back to the mid 1880s houses an amazing mix of objects all with their own story to tell. From the popular Sebel chairs to Industrial and vintage tables, shelves cupboards and stools, galvanised wares, maps and pull down charts, Taxidermy, vintage advertising from the USA, food safes, pigeon hole shelves, church pews, wooden trolleys and 'kitchenalia'. Vintage etc also stock the latest in gift cards from the UK, great notebooks, pillows and tote bags from Nero, and children's vintage style novelties. Also gorgeous Savon de Marsielles soaps from France, in the most amazing scents as well as candles and a range of French umbrellas featuring scenes of Paris. The opening of the store was a long held vision of its owner Jane Hotblack who had been searching for the right location to showcase this ever changing collection to both established and new customers. Jane has been exhibiting at the wonderful Fryers Town Antiques Fair just outside Castlemaine as well as Vintage fashion Fairs in Victoria for 4 years and had her own vintage business in the UK selling vintage and French country furniture. "Furniture is a passion for me as I love the feel and look of different woods and the appeal of layers of old timeworn paint and the functionality and patina of metal pieces. We have two local furniture restorers, who make bespoke and up-cycled furniture for the shop, including our fabulous 2 metre high Eiffel tower which sits proudly in the middle of the store waiting to grace a garden or courtyard with rustic French charm." All of our furniture is carefully sourced and sympathetically restored. Original features are lovingly preserved and ready to use and treasure for many years to come.
