The Seia Cardigan features compound raglan shaping at the shoulders for a really great fit for all sizes. The garter waistband is cropped at the natural waist for a flattering look, and the slipped stitch detail down the centre back and at the ‘seams’ adds a touch of class.

The smooth stockinette, cozy garter and super squishy brioche stitches combine to make a really snuggly cardigan that you will just love wearing! I wear this cardigan every two or three days - it’s absolutely one of my favourite wardrobe staples!

And just like that, a reminder that the majority of people are kind and thoughtful. My beautiful test knitter Hema, who I shared in a previous post went above and beyond for me on this test knit, has done it again! Today I took over 20kg of textile scraps and other waste to .community.space to be recycled! I knew I had a lot of scraps to get rid of but I didn’t think it would be over 20kg 😂

This awesome fabric store rescues textiles and notions and sells them at a reduced price to keep textile waste out of landfill - one of my great passions! They are also a drop off point for scraps and textiles that get recycled - at only $4 a kilo it’s an awesome way to do your part for the environment.

I appreciate test knitters so much - their contribution is absolutely invaluable. Hema particularly (pink version) went above and beyond for this test knit, helping other testers with questions while I was overseas. I could not be more grateful or thankful.

Introducing the Seia Cardigan… Coming on Friday 10am AEST!

This pattern is for a basic raglan stockinette cardigan with slipped stitch detail down the back and at the side and arm ‘seams’ and a garter waistband and cuffs. It’s worked top down, knit flat as one piece, then the sleeves are worked in the round. A brioche neckband is picked up and knitted on once completed.

Over the next couple of days I’ll share some photos from my test knitters who did an incredible job. PLEASE NOTE - I was not able to find test knitters for sizes 1, 3, 8, or 11-16. If you are interested in providing general fit feedback (NOT to the level usually required of a standard test knitter) in exchange for a free copy of the pattern, please let me know! I’m working really hard to be size inclusive so this matters a lot to me.

Oh my gosh, was awesome! Such a lovely weekend filled with beautiful conversations, beautiful knitwear, and beautiful friends!

Here is my modest haul - secondhand skein winder from , lovely skeins of yarn from , notions from , and some stunning mohair locks from someone in a middle stall 😭 I’m sorry I can’t remember who I got them from!

It was soo nice to see so many returning customers and chat with my fellow stallholders, many of whom are becoming colleagues and friends 🥰

That marks my last market until my second bub is born in August, so in the meantime please feel free to message me for custom orders or pattern support and I will update you on my remaining markets for the year once bub is earthside!
