Everyone here at Su***de Glam Australia is hoping to get to know you as a regular shopper either in store or online in the near future. A quick note about the name of our shop:

We get asked about our name a lot. It's a fair question. Do we think su***de is glamorous? No, we do not. Our business was founded in 2000 in Bali. The idea was that the clothes were alternative, and you would be committing social su***de by wearing them, hence the name Su***de Glam. So the name is being used in the same vein as the models "Su***de Girls", or the term social su***de. We're the 3rd owners along and we did consider changing the name, but the Australian shop has been operating since 2007, and it is somewhat of a Central Coast institution. But more than that, it speaks to the people that need to be heard. People who feel alone, marginalised, discriminated against. Su***de Glam is a safe space. We don't discriminate. We don't judge. We have time to talk to people if they need to be heard. We pass on resources to people who need them. It's not the reason that we have this name. But considering some of the interactions we've had with people because of it, I'm happy that it turned out this way. If our name has upset you, I'm sincerely sorry. But please know that for some others, it actually helps them and does some good. Much love,
