One week to go and there are still a few spots available for our Machine Knitting Workshop at Prahran Place.

Whether you're picking up a knitting machine for the very first time or looking to build on what you already know, this session is designed to meet you where you are. No experience necessary.

Over three hours you'll work through the foundations of the machine, with the opportunity to explore fully fashioned shaping and a no-roll edge finish. You'll leave with a finished Neck Warmer, complete with handmade pom poms. All materials included.

Small group. Welcoming space. Saturday 12th September, 10am to 1pm at Prahran Place, Melbourne.

Fifteen swatches later, the residency is done.

A month ago I said yes to an artist residency at SHOP GAL , not knowing exactly what I would make of the time, only that I needed it. The Undone Work became a month of machine knitting research with no product agenda. Just technique, time, and curiosity.

The final entry, Still Unfolding, is up now on the studio notes journal.

A little recap from last week’s scrunchie workshop at .gal

A cosy group of first time machine knitters, a glass of champagne, and a room full of good energy on Johnston Street, Fitzroy. Everyone left with a handcrafted scrunchie made entirely by themselves, from scratch, for the first time.

There is something really special about watching someone use a knitting machine for the very first time and walk away genuinely proud of what they made.
