🧵✨ I had just enough fabric left over to create this sweet little tote bag with a pocket – proof that no piece needs to go to waste! I absolutely love this print… it looks like painted flowers and was too pretty to toss 🌸🎨 used French seams🪡

This reusable bag found a new home with one of my lovely clients, gifted alongside their finished sewing order 💛

Worked through a little mending pile today 🧵✨

De-linted a shirt (looks so much better!), fixed a tear in hubby’s pants, added a paracord string to my hat so it stops blowing away, and adjusted the elastic in my PJ pants 👌

Feels so good to have it all done (for now!)

That trailer electrical cord was just hanging loose — no wonder it ended up damaged in multiple spots ⚡️

Now that it’s been replaced and given some extra protection, it’s time to keep it that way. I sewed up a simple multipurpose strap, using webbing and Velcro to secure the cable neatly to the tow bar 🧵

Sometimes the simplest solutions make the biggest difference ✨

Seam ripper, scissors and snaps — plus plenty of back and forth between the sewing machine and the outdoor tap to get the perfect fit 💧✂️

An untraditional sewing project this time 🧵✨

We bought a dashboard sun shield that was close to the windscreen measurements… but the fit wasn’t quite right. So of course, I grabbed my seam ripper 😄

I removed the binding, reshaped the outline for a better fit, marked a cut-out - space for a phone holder, added loops for hanging, and then reattached the binding.

The temperature in the car still gets high, but the steering wheel, dashboard and seats are no longer painfully hot. Practical and customised! ☀️🚗

Quick fix win! ✨

Our oven gloves were driving my hubby mad 😅 — every time he used them, the lining kept slipping out. So I did a super quick fix 🪡
I added a small tack at the tip of each finger to secure the lining to the outer layer. Because these gloves are made for oven & BBQ heat 🔥, I used cotton thread 👍.

Such a quick and easy repair, and now no more kitchen frustration 🙌

A little late to the feed, but for good reason 🎄✨

This cross back apron was a Christmas gift and I had to keep it under wraps until the big day!

I loved sewing this one – from the pattern-matched pocket 👌 to the machine-embroidered name for that extra personal touch 🪡💖. Practical, comfy and made with lots of love.

Best part? The new owner is very happy and already putting it to good use 🥰

A little handmade sewing win for summer hiking 🧵👒☀️

To survive bushwalks without constantly doing the famous Australian Salute 🪰😄, I made a fly mesh that slips over a hat — simple, practical and very effective.

I used donated mesh fabric, sewing it into a tube and adding a casing at the top and bottom. I threaded paracord from my stash through the casings so it’s adjustable and easy to secure ✂️🧶

The mesh is lightweight and packs down small, so I also made a simple drawstring storage bag with my overlocker— perfect to throw in a hiking pack 🎒🧵
I ended up making a few extras for fellow hikers, and they were so excited to receive them — best kind of handmade gift, haha 💚😊

Practical sewing, happy walkers, and no fly swatting!

Finished and gifted 💙💻

This custom laptop case for my hubby is finally done! I quilted his name into the outer fabric, added a magnetic closure, and lined it with the softest Dot Minky 😍 Such a fun stash-busting project and a great excuse to try something new.
