💚 Whyalla Mental Health Matters Round 2026 💚

What a fantastic month it has been in Whyalla with the Mental Health Matters Round 2026! Last weekend, Whyalla local soccer community came together to support an important message — that mental health matters and that connection, conversation and community can make a real difference.

Apelle Apparel is proud to support Whyalla local sporting community as a supplier to Whyalla City Council, Whyalla Wanderers SSC, Whyalla Croatia SC and Steel United SC.

🏆 GRAND FINAL CHAMPIONS! 🏆
Apelle Apparel proudly congratulates all the Southern Tigers 2026 Grand Final Champions on an incredible achievement! 🐯

🏆 Senior Tigers 5�Outstanding defensive pressure and accurate shooting saw the Tigers take control early and never look back, finishing with a convincing 70–50 victory to claim the Grand Final by 20 points!

🏆 Senior Men 3�Grand Final Winners after an outstanding 44–35 victory over West. What a performance!

🏆 Senior Women 1�Grand Final Champions after a hard-fought 28–23 victory over arch-rivals Forestville! A brilliant display of determination and teamwork.

🏆 U21 Men Division 1�Grand Final Winners after a huge 80–48 victory! An incredible performance from start to finish.

And congratulations to all the other Southern Tigers teams who fought hard and represented the club with pride.

Every player, coach, volunteer and supporter should be incredibly proud. A season built on relentless defence, determination, grit and teamwork. 🐯🔥

The winning designs from Whyalla’s Mental Health Matters Round (MHMR) Design Competition have been revealed! 💙
We received a huge response from the community, with more than 250 entries received from local students. Congratulations to our 2026 MHMR Design Competition winners! 👏

* Makenzy (Samaritan College) – Whyalla Lions Soccer & Social Club
Apelle Apparel was proud to help bring three of these incredible student designs to life, translating the original sketches from Raennielle, Emma and Lilli-anne into actual playing jerseys for their respective clubs. 👕⚽
It’s been fantastic to see the creativity and passion of Whyalla’s young people transformed from paper into something players can proudly wear on the field.

And just like that… our A Grade have secured the League!

What makes this moment even more special is doing it in our 60th Anniversary year. To look back at everything this club has been through over 60 years, and now celebrate our A Grade bringing home the Trophy, is something truly special.

This doesn’t happen by accident. It comes from the commitment, belief and hard work that goes on week after week, and we couldn’t be prouder of this group of players.

A very special thank you to our coaches, Jordan and Anthony. Your time, effort, belief and dedication to these boys doesn’t go unnoticed. You’ve helped create something really special, and we’re so grateful for everything you put into this team.

To our players, remember to enjoy this moment, and take some time to appreciate what you’ve achieved together.

But… the season isn’t over yet! 💪

Reflecting on an incredible Indigenous/First Nations Round with the Norwood Flames in early July 🏀

We loved bringing the Norwood Flames' Indigenous/First Nations Round NBL1 collection to life—from concept to finished product. Featuring incredible artwork by renowned Indigenous artist Harley Hall, it was a privilege to manufacture a range that celebrates culture, community, and connection.

Seeing the collection worn with pride on game day was what it was all about. ❤️🖤💛
