Part one finally complete. I’ll spare you the grisly details, but this corset had it in for me for sure! How dare it stand up for itself!😛 Isn’t the doggy fabric just beautiful darrliing 😏 I’m glad to at last have a project that suits it all too well.

Does anyone else hear angels singing when they look at this zipper installation? 🤣 Because I do! I have never been more proud of a deceptively simple bit of sewing. Last project for the year; a regal office chair fit for a queen. Perhaps Santa Claus would like to give it a go? The colours are certainly his style too🎄 Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! 💕

Last few days have been super busy! My outfits have been different shirts under the same overalls 😎 I definitely dare to re-wear on the regular! This patchwork dress is made from fabric remnants using one of my favourite patterns, Burda 6401. The coffee print top is the same pattern, but just the top half. Versatile, loose and comfy 🤩

My little sewing machine and I have been working hard to make some dungarees if you please, for day 8 of Me Made May. The perfect attire for the sewing floor troll 🧌Do you want to crouch, hunch over your work or crawl on the floor while tracing patterns and cutting out…but in relative comfort? Dungarees might just be for you! Especially when made from a cosy knit for that in-pyjamas-all-day-you-cant-stop-me-feel. Made with Mccalls pattern 8204 🪡🧵🪡

Day 7 of MMM! One thing I love about making things myself is making them my own. A little detail like binding or trim can make the same pattern unique each time. This basic top has had a few iterations with more to come I’m sure. It looks so nice with my pride and joy, the cableknit scarf of my dreams. First seen in a shop window, then knitted by my very own hands 🤣 Why buy when you can make? Pants have been altered to fit and knit jumper is an opshop gem

My outfit for day 5 & 6 of Made by Me May is another autumnal number! The days are getting colder and the suns rays sparkle through the changing leaves. These ruddy hues blaze in that light and make me feel a little warmer. This Linen/Lyocell dress and wool coat are two of my favourite makes that I wear all the time 💕

Jurassic parking my bike at work this morning in my dinosaur jumper 🤣 You have my husband to thank for that one. Dug this out of the clothing heap at the local tip shop, much like an archeologist 😛 I added some embroidery to bring out it’s full potential, now it’s dinomite! 🦕🦕🦕 Haha, lame 😛
