Is your most precious cargo safe in every car they travel in?!

The risks for forward facing too early are enormous, make sure you are well educated before making the choice for your most important little people.

Follow the markers on your carseat as these have been used in crash tests to ensure the absolute highest standard. Not following the markers can be life threatening.

The carseat also won't work if not installed correctly with seatbelt or isofix AND the top tether.

Are twisted car seat shoulder straps unsafe?
Yes, twisted car seat shoulder straps can be unsafe in the event of a car accident.
"A flat shoulder strap spreads the load of an accident evenly across the point of contact with your child. This reduces the forces applied to their shoulders and chest," Australian car seat manufacturer InfaGroup advises on its website.
"A twisted shoulder strap concentrates those forces over a smaller area. This increases the stress applied to your child’s shoulders and chest, which can cause injury. Think about how painful a heavy plastic shopping bag can be on your hand – it's the same kind of thing."

Twisted car seat belts can be dangerous in a crash because they can:

• Concentrate force
A twisted belt concentrates the force of a crash on a smaller area of your child's body, which can increase the stress on their shoulders and chest and cause injury.

• Become a laceration hazard
The edge of a twisted belt can become tight and cause significant damage.

• Not distribute weight correctly
A twisted belt may not transmit loads as efficiently, meaning there is less belt holding your child in place.

• Interfere with car seat performance
Routing the straps incorrectly can interfere with the performance of the car seat during a crash.

But making sure they are fitted correctly is equally as important, the best seat won't help if they are fitted correctly
