A brand born 102 kilometers outside of Melbourne in a place named Ballarat, a city of gold once know as the Queen of Goldfields where in 1858 the welcome nugget weighing 68.98 kilograms was found. The idea emerged from my love of music, arts and sports, all positive activities. The weather provided a big push having moved from the Caribbean in 2019, I found the need for warm clothes to combine wit
h my already existing beachy relaxed wardrobe. In addition to the rich heritage of Ballarat, I found myself surrounded by exciting, exuberant and fun places like Melbourne, Bendigo, Geelong and the famous surf town of Torquay, home to Bells Beach and the start (or end if that's your journey) of the Great Ocean Road. I felt the necessity to find clothing that are fitted to a spontaneous persona and lifestyle, of top quality, yet durable and affordable. I was wanting to represent the colours and soul of both cultures so I got to the drawing board and presented my first designs to friends and family. Having come up with the logo and brand name and designed the first long sleeve shirt, and soon after, the veeni joggers, for it was winter over here. Soon came the seemingly spontaneous Ballarat weather change and the sun was so bright so I created my first line of Sunglasses. Throughout all of this I never forgot my Caribbean roots and a fundamental understanding that the clothes had to be versatile. I started selling to my friends and work colleagues, having received an incredible level of support and acceptance (thank you very much to you all!). This woke in me the confidence and courage to now advertise my designs and see what happens. We are continuing to grow bit by bit and always searching for new inspiration and collaborations with local and international street art talent for designs.
