Yesterday I had a fun Crafternoon with some of my family. I decided to stitch design from her stick and stitch range onto an op shop towel.
Really enjoyed making it and now am looking forward to some more stitching fun 😁

The love fest isn’t over 💗

Jumpers & Jazz in July 2025 completely cleared us out.

We started the festival with thousands of Love Bombs… and by the final weekend, they were gone. Every single one. Our volunteers were crocheting madly just to try and keep up with demand.

And honestly? We wouldn’t have it any other way.

As we now start preparing for Jumpers & Jazz in July 2026, we’re officially calling on our Yarntopians and crafty legends to help us replenish our Love Bomb supplies.

💗 What are Love Bombs?
They’re small crocheted hearts gifted to festival visitors as little random acts of kindness. Bright, joyful, handmade and shared freely throughout the festival.

Some big news to share

Knit Happens and will be joining forces and moving to a wonderful space, ready to swing open the door in the new year.

There will be a larger range of fibres, space for workshops, great lighting and air conditioning

I have loved being in my current little space and my goodness I will miss the arcade. So many lovely dogs, cute kids, friendly smiles and waves have brightened my days over the years. I will miss my amazing neighbours and .murwillumbah
They are the BEST 🩷

Once again the people have spoken and the votes are counted. 🎉🎉🎉
The winners of the 2025 tea cosy competition are:
1st prize to Adele Spain from Bulimba for the very colourful Eastern Rosella
2nd prize to CWA member, Barbara Sayers for her fabulous Brush Turkey
3rd prize to Jenny Chambers for her gorgeous granny tea cosy
Congratulations to the winners and to all entrants for their wonderful contributions. There were 45 entries and 385 members of the public voted. All entries made a fun & picture-perfect window display. There were traditional cosies, novelty cosies, vintage cosies, zany cosies - all beautifully knitted, sewn or crocheted and will now make the perfect purchase for home or gift & raise funds for our projects supporting vulnerable women & children.
