🧡 FESTIVAL UPDATE 🧡

The Awesome Human Festival will now run from 11am – 4pm on Saturday 20 March 2027 at Speers Point Park.

Why the change?

Because if we’re creating a neuro-affirming event, we need to make decisions through a neuro-affirming lens.

When we first announced the festival, the hours were 12pm–9pm. But after reflecting on what accessibility, energy levels, sensory needs and wellbeing can look like for many people (including me), it became clear that a shorter daytime event was a better fit 😉👍🏼

🧡 The Awesome Human Festival is all about connection, community, supports, services, creativity and belonging. We want people to have the opportunity to attend, enjoy the day and leave with their cup a little fuller than when they arrived.

So mark it in your calendar:

📅 Saturday 20 March 2027
⏰ 11am – 4pm
📍 Speers Point Park, Lake Macquarie

A free community-led neurodiversity and mental health festival connecting people with supports, services and community in 1 welcoming neuro-affirming space.

Sometimes people ask me, “What is Awesome Human?”

The truth is, Awesome Human was never really about t-shirts, hoodies or products.

It started with a simple belief:

Every human deserves to know they matter.

In a world that can often feel disconnected, I wanted to create something that encouraged kindness, gratitude and positive acknowledgement. A reminder that a few genuine words, a small act of kindness or simply helping someone feel seen can have a bigger impact than we realise.

Awesome Human is about creating connection.

It’s about reminding people that they don’t have to achieve something extraordinary to be worthy of recognition. Being human is enough.

If one person feels a little more seen, a little more valued, or a little less alone because of something I’ve shared, then I’m achieving exactly what I set out to do.

I’m just one Awesome Human creating connection through kindness, gratitude and positive acknowledgement, because every human deserves to know they matter. 🧡

🧡 BE AWESOME. BE HUMAN. 🧡

In a world that often feels busy, loud and disconnected, a little kindness can make a bigger difference than we realise.

Awesome Human started with a simple belief:

Every human deserves to feel seen.
Every human deserves to know they matter.

That's what this hoodie represents.

Not perfection.
Not having it all figured out.
Just choosing kindness, connection and positive acknowledgement wherever we can.

Because being an Awesome Human isn't about being extraordinary.

It's about being human. 🧡

Labels aren’t always a bad thing. 🧡

We use labels every single day.

They help us understand what something is, how it works and how to support it properly.

Sugar and salt both look pretty similar… but trust me — labels matter when making coffee ☕️😂

So why do we act like human labels are automatically negative?

For so many people, labels like:
ADHD
Dyslexic
Anxious
Support Worker
Teacher
Volunteer
Mum
Dad
Bestie

…aren’t about putting people in boxes.

They’re about identity, understanding, connection and community.

Some labels help people finally understand themselves.
Some labels recognise the role someone plays in the lives of others.
And some labels simply remind people they matter.

At Awesome Human, we believe labels can be empowering when they come from a place of understanding, pride and kindness. 🧡

Because being different doesn’t make someone less.
It makes them human.

🧡 THANK YOU TO THE AWESOME VOLUNTEERS 🧡

This National Volunteer Week, we just want to acknowledge the Awesome Humans out there quietly doing good things for other people.

The people who give up their time.
Who help because someone needed help.
Who stay back, show up, check in, support others and carry communities on their backs without expecting recognition for it.

Volunteers are a pretty special kind of Awesome Human.

Not because they’re perfect.
Not because they have endless spare time.
But because they choose kindness, community and connection anyway.

No spotlight needed.
No big reward expected.
Just Awesome Humans doing Awesome Human things.

To every volunteer out there — in clubs, schools, charities, community groups, support services, events and everyday life — thank you.

The world works better because of people like you. 🧡

Because the world needs more Awesome Humans.

🧡 We’ve been quietly building something pretty special… and our new Awesome Human website is now live!

There’s still plenty being added and improved (because growth is messy and websites definitely don’t build themselves 😅), but we’d love for you to jump on, have a look around and explore what Awesome Human is all about.

Our new Awesome Human collection is now mostly available — creating awesome labels for awesome humans of all kinds. 🧡

And our Inspiration Collection is still on the way, with new designs and creations currently in the works.

At the heart of everything we do is kindness, inclusion, neurodiversity, mental health, community and reminding humans they are already enough exactly as they are.

We’re also incredibly excited to keep growing towards the upcoming Awesome Human Festival in March 2027 at Speers Point Park — a community-led festival celebrating neurodivergent minds, creativity, connection and human kindness. 🧡
