'Be true to your heart'.
We wrote this list back when Angus was 4. I remember it clearly, we went through it together, then I asked him what he thought was important for our family is how we live; and his response was the bottom line, be true to your heart.
Using values as a parenting living approach can be the most wonderful, easy framework for decisions, plans, emotions, discipline.
But it's also really hard, and I mean REALLY hard. A commitment that asks you to intentionally choose new ways to respond, new ways to see 'naughty, bad' behaviour and how to support kids through emotions rather than using fear based approaches.
I am proud of our little family and the choice Matt and I made over a decade ago, we wanted to raise good humans.
Our mobile kits are a symbol of love and how values can be used right from the start - The stories you tell is the culture you create.
