One hobbit corset skirt, four pairs of viking pants, two viking tunics and an apron, two brooches , King Arthur's Crown and two banners.

Didn't even have to pull a late night. Exhausted but excited for Newcastle Medieval Festival

In case I've not made this clear, I'm going for fantasy nonsense epic viking ' vibes ' not historical accuracy.

Also I had to stab myself daily during my pregnancy with the twins thanks to a viking gene my family carries and I'm pretty sure that gives me license to do whatever I want with this costume.

Getting ready for Newcastle Medieval Festival I've been filming so much content and working on so many little projects that I've basically decided I'll edit and share after the event because I'm running into time crunch but this made me laugh 🤣

I honestly don't think you're ever past making an occasional dumb mistake even in a craft you've been doing for most of your life. Feel free to tell me I'm wrong though 🪡

Release the chaos goblin!
All the projects! All the side quests! Let's goooo!!!

Having an absolute blast getting prepped to take our whole tribe to Newcastle Medieval Festival ⚔️🪡

We've got tiny Vikings, big Vikings , a family of hobbits and even an extremely silly King Arthur ala Monty Python in the works. This year we are using it as the birthday celebration for my twin boys who I cannot believe are about to turn 6. 🤯

It has been absolutely glorious pursuing all the different ideas I've had for this and making so many different pieces different ways. I've been practising filming a lot more so get ready to see some behind the scenes nonsense.

Shout out to all the parents doing the school drop marathon.

I think you're amazing. Doesn't matter how smooth or rough a morning was, you did it! You deserve all the treats, I encourage you to take a little time for a feral side quest. Rules are no housework, executive function for anyone else and nothing kid centred.

Do a bad drawing
Listen to an old favourite song at full volume
colour in something
Have a full shower
Do fancy makeup if you like that
Go for a little frolic/ walk somewhere
Find a short video about a hobby you've always wanted to try

Back with another outfit transition video. Last Saturday after taking my hobbits to their swimming lesson I got to go to an Upcycle Newcastle workshop with my wonderful sister in law Katherine McIntyre. Felt like a good excuse to put together a fun outfit.

We had an absolute blast learning a new skill and getting to spend some uninterrupted time together without kiddos was blissful. Have decided we need to try and make it into their workshop/ store sometime soon.

Had an amazing score at Salamander bay salvo's store this morning (thrift shop for my non Aussie people)

Might've had a little bit too much fun organising some surprise decor for a one shot evening last night . It was a wonderful ,magical and chaotic storytelling tabletop role playing game run by my brother in celebration of his birthday.

Made some magical potions in old alcohol bottles, including one that glows in the dark which my Small humans have claimed for themselves after the party.
Most other items I foraged from our home decor and crafting stash. Only purchase was some faux moss and little fairy lights for the lanterns.

Also I got to dress like and pretend to be a magical pirate goddess so what's not to love.

Honestly it was just lovely to get to be creative without any high stakes and flow with playful energy for this little project.

If you are a lover of boardgames, fantasy and some intriguing ttrpgs beyond classic D&D then you should definitely give a follow. (Especially if you are a fan of and his cosmere as well)
