Remember when you first learnt how to drive? If you’re around my age, a manual car.

The gear shift was tricky, the bunny hops were inevitable and parallel parking seemed like a sick joke

But you put the reps in, you got in started the engine and kept practicing.

Soon enough your flying down the highway with the wind in your hair, tunes blasting, you’ve now tasted freedom

It’s a bit like this process, I’m still bunny hopping, wave if you see me but please don’t beep I’m on my L’s

I’m here for my 8 year old self and my 80 year old self.

If I make that little girl that was full of hope proud and the old girl can look back with pride and know that she gave everything an absolute crack, then job done.

My days are spent reaching out to existing retailers or pitching to new buyers, it’s a really disheartening place to be. You are mostly ignored daily. It’s hard to not take it personally.

I have far more rejections than wins. I guess that’s why I’m so thrilled when a win does come along. I really do try and celebrate it.

Starting off strong with the mini and maxi beach dresses

I designed these dresses for me. I wanted a one and done. A dress that I could throw on and wear to the beach, cafe, park or whatever my day takes me.

I wanted a loose oversized style but with the option of a belt when I feel like it.

It was a dream come true showcasing Cie Cie across all of the elements that I design the collection to be worn across.

Cie Cie robes go way beyond the bathroom amekajane generously modelled the collection in her stunning home across the Pilates studio, cold plunge, sauna, bathroom, bedroom, lounge room and of course our new beach dresses are captured poolside by Joy Schroeter

It was a local collaboration that really came together beautifully
