This lovely formal dress needed some extra work done due to an injury my poor customer sustained just after I finished altering it.
Her knee injury meant she was not able to wear high heels all night but wanted to for the photos and the start of the night so that was possible I kept the hem the length I had originally shortened it to but then also added some special fasteners to allow her to shorten the dress once she changed into flats later on.
The 2 photos on the right show the full length for heels and the shorter length for when she changed to flats.
Not something I had done before but I always find a way to make things work and never shy away from a good challenge!☺️

Another lot I made recently for disadvantaged children by upcycling 2nd hand emergency services uniforms teamed up with fun fabrics to create them something special and unique for Uniforms 4 Kids.
I also used some shirts from my children's schools uniforms that are no longer part of the uniform that were donated back to the school and instead of them going to landfill I asked the school if I could use them too.

Beautiful wedding dress that required the hem to be shortened, shoulder straps shortened, remove the bottom layer of the dress as the wedding was in the hottest part of the QLD summer to keep the bride cooler, and add a bustle.

A new fresh cover for a quiet tent for a lovely independent local school's classroom.
The brief was:
- Fresh and clean
- No distracting pattern or colours
- No front doors
- No side window
I think I nailed it ☺️

I made some adjustments to all of these beautiful suit jackets as well as some of the matching pants, for a better fit, a while back for a well known Bribie local who also happens to be one of my best customers! I am very lucky to be trusted with her wardrobe 🙏

A special mermaid dress for a special mermaid party!
I bought the lace I used on the sleeves a few years ago and finally had something to use it on. I love how it turned out 🧜‍♀️🧜‍♂️🐬🐳🐙🦀🦭🪸🐚🪼

For this beautiful formal dress I shortened the hem and increased the modesty panel in the bust area. I included a photo of what the bodice looked like when I opened it all up.

It's been a while since I posted, I am still here I've just been a bit too busy to post :)
Here is a beautiful formal dress I worked on, shortened the hem and added a bustle to the back so it wasn't dragging all night and people stepping on it.

I made this cute laundry bag for my son's class as he was given the weeks washing to do recently and the washing came home in a grocery bag so I thought I would make them a special bag to match their class name ❤
