We’ve been quiet.

It’s been a challenging time to start a business that supports a circular economy and other Australian manufacturers.

Even more challenging as parents and with jobs to keep us busy.

We are taking an extended break. Not sure what will come of EMREN but it’s been an important and worthwhile adventure.

I’M PLASTIC FREE is the brainchild of Simona Paganetto and born from a passion to genuinely make a difference to plastic pollution.

Italian-born Simona was living in the Whitsundays in Australia and volunteering for beach clean-ups in 2014 when she witnessed first-hand the huge amount of plastic in our oceans and its impact on marine life. She decided to do something about it.

While designing and developing reusable stainless-steel straws, she realised how difficult and time-consuming it was to find ethical, low-waste, low-carbon products that provided viable solutions to plastic use.

Fast-forward to 2018 and I’M PLASTIC FREE was born.

A matchmaking platform for plastic pollution solutions: zero waste / plastic free products, recycled products & information hub.

Why the golden stripe?

EMREN is a small batch producer or made to order which means it isn’t feasible to print bold patterns and many different styles. This would likely result in production waste.

So to set our period pants apart from other everyday black underwear in your drawer, we have a gold stripe!

FAQ: How should I store period pants?

Simple! Just as you would any other underwear. Make sure they are completely dry and pop them in your drawer or cupboard!

To help extend the life of your period pants keep them away from direct sunlight between use and avoid washing with zippers and embellished clothing.
