Looking for a Father’s Day adventure? Point the car towards Nundle this weekend.
Start your visit at Nundle Woollen Mill, where you can step inside one of Australia’s few remaining working woollen mills, see historic machinery, discover how fleece becomes yarn, and browse plenty of Australian-made treasures along the way.
But don’t be in too much of a hurry to head home.
Nundle grew from the gold rushes of the 1850s, and there’s still plenty to discover beyond the Mill. Wander the historic village, stop for lunch or a coffee, explore the town’s gold-mining history, fossick for a little treasure of your own, then take the drive up towards Hanging Rock and soak up the beautiful New England high country.
It’s history, scenery, country hospitality and a great excuse for a road trip, all rolled into one.
So gather Dad, pack the car and make a day of it. Nundle is absolutely worth the drive.
Watch the video, then come and experience it for yourself.
