The 2026 Royal Easter Show Arts & Crafts preview night was great. From my 9 entries I got 4 ribbons: 1 First, 2 Seconds & 1 Third. I put a lot of time and effort into being creative and am inspired for next year.

Spent some sister-time sewing curtains yesterday (surprise for her eldest). We had measurements and a set amount of fabric. We always work well together and they turned out perfect. And the recipient was stoked to bring some personality & homeliness to a tired rental.

I do enjoy the art of crochet. Its repetitiveness is soothing. This is my beautiful granny square blanket. It turned out so well with all the colours, and I’ve joined the squares continuously which is a great method. It’s pure wool so will be great for those chilly nights. My sister Ruth is the lucky recipient.

Almost finished sewing in the ends. Making a granny square blanket is a slow process. Perfect activity on a winters day.
