~DIFFERENT ~ Reception Looks
Now don't get me wrong, I do LOVE the corset/boned little white or lace mini dress but I have seen it...a lot! There has always been this part of me that thinks that the idea of the reception/mini dress is to slip into something a little more comfy, a little more "party" right? Taking off a tight or big dress just to get strapped into another doesn't seem as fun to me.
And with a reception look - there are no rules! So check out some of my suggestions (obviously not everyone's cup of tea) and take some inspiration in your own reception look if you choose to do one!

FOR THE PHOTOGRAPHERS /| A service just for you!
Organising shoots and collaborations can be super time consuming and confusing! You guys are busy enough without having to source gowns (the RIGHT gowns) for your shoot, find out which store to get them from, sizes etc.
Do you need someone to help with dresses on the day?
Dressing the models (when someone from the store cant be there) can be super difficult. With clips, hooks, corsets
- it can all be a bit much! My little pet peeve in styled shoots is when you can clearly see the dress doesnt fit as it should.
I am here to help by offering these services for free as long as it is a free collaboration shoot (providing availability).
Feel free to message if you need some guidance, inspiration or help!

Perth's Best GO-TO's for pre-loved
Wedding Dresses!

Why Choose a Pre-Loved Gown?
- Better for the wallet
- Better for the environment
- Better range (dresses that you may not see all the time)

Choosing a pre-loved dress is an amazing idea for any bride looking to spend less on a gown!

Designers that may have once been out of budget could be a possibility.

Majority of pre-loved gowns generally have next to no flaws and are drycleaned as well.

Cons: Dresses may have been altered to fit the previous bride perfectly and your proportions may not work. You may still need your own alterations after.

Want to sell your gown after your own wedding? Reach out to these beautiful stores!

CUPS // Do you choose a n**e or an ivory cup? In this post I will talk about cups on a dress with a SHEER bodice (photographed) and which colour to go for!
(If you can choose of course).

9 times out of 10 when I see brides going through the racks they immediately hate the look of n**e cups and ask if it can be changed. Whilst ivory seems like a logical choice especially when the skirt of the dress is ivory - it can sometimes make the cup look a lot more obvious.

My advice is to just try the n**e cups on first - n**e cups (when its close-ish to your skin colour) will blend in a lot better when the bodice is sheer or unlined creating a more seamless look.

Ivory cups do make a more classical look and you will look less "n**e" but they will be more noticeable.
If the bodice is lined I would suggest matching the cups to the lining colour.

Make sure to try both on so that you can come to the right decision for you and what look that YOU like best!

Don't like either? v Ask you seamstress to find a better colour match for your skin tone.

Wedding Dress Insecurities //

Like almost every bride out there - there will be one thing that we aren't the biggest fan of about our body. No matter how many people say that it's not an issue or "can't even see what you're talking about". The biggest ones I hear are tummy, arms, b***s and hips - usually things that can't change over night or at all.
For me, it was my arms and always has been. However, thankfully for me I completely forgot about this when I put my dress on (even though my arms were full on display). I didn't think once about it or draw attention to it. Even looking back on my photos it's not something that I am immediately picking up.

I can usually tell when a bride loves her dress - not because she mentions that it hides her flaws but that she doesn't say anything about them at all. As soon as a dress goes on that isn't right you can bet that she is picking it apart.

So my advice? When you take a look in the mirror - give yourself a chance to have a look at the full picture first. If your eyes immediately go to anywhere you are self conscious about then it aint it. You will love your dress for how you look in it at that moment.
