When your favourite backyard ultra runner drops into the store and you surprise him with a Backstreet Boys concert inspired t-shirt of himself, that he’s never seen before 🤣

A few weeks ago we shared that we’ll be hosting our Backyard Ultra workshop series, including a conversation featuring Jashy. We’re looking forward to bringing this one to the community very soon.

It’s always a good time when Jashy visits, especially when the crew rolls in and no one misses a chance for a cheeky selfie with my phone.

Underfuelled runners are everywhere and most don’t even realise it.

Training harder isn’t always the answer. Sometimes the real unlock is learning how to fuel properly.

Dietitian and ultra-endurance nutritionist Gaby Villa has helped everyone from everyday runners to world record holders like Phil Gore, and closer to home Jonathan Ash. She’s also helped me navigate diagnosed gut issues so I can keep showing up for long runs and ultras.

Join us Sunday 8 March at 7am at Osborne Park in Wollongong for a 5km easy social run, followed by a relaxed meet and greet with local coaches Kath White, Lauren Mitchell and Deb Holland.

No panels. No formalities. Just real conversations, shared strides and good company. Coffee’s on us.

Week 2 brings together local expertise in strength, physiotherapy and recovery.

With Dylan from (you might also know Dyl from 👀) alongside Mikaela from this session is about helping you stay consistent, manage load and build durability for the long run.

To compliment the learning, our friends are supporting the evening by providing complimentary recovery vouchers for all registered attendees.
