One of our favourite shows on the circuit is almost here, and once again we’re teaming up with the legends at PCTA Offroad.

It’s the finer details that are often overlooked. 👀

How does your headboard actually line up with your vehicle?

It sounds simple, but it’s something we’ve spent years refining at GWorks.

Getting the height right is a fine balance. We need enough space underneath the tray for things like water tanks and trundle drawers, the correct guard and wheel clearance, while still making sure the headboard doesn’t finish miles above the cab.

For us, it’s about looking at the tray and vehicle as one complete package.

Function matters. Clearance matters. Storage matters.

But so does getting the proportions right.

It’s probably something most people have never thought to look at.

Once you notice it, you’ll start looking at every tray differently. 👀

This is pretty much why GWorks exists.

When Nic and Adam started GWorks, it wasn't because the world needed another tray company.

It started because they couldn't find the setup they wanted for their own vehicles.

Something that could work hard all week, carry what they needed it to carry, but still be the setup they wanted when it was time to get away.

Whether that's heading up the beach, down a dirt track, setting up camp somewhere remote or simply packing up and disappearing for the weekend.

Because these vehicles aren't just about work.

They're about where they can take you, the adventures you have along the way and the memories you make when you get there.

So they built it.

Then they kept pulling it apart, changing things, improving things and probably overthinking details most people would never notice.

And we're still doing exactly that today.

That's where Work & Play came from.

It's not just a name we came up with.

It's what we believe these setups should actually do.

Today GWorks is a much bigger team, but that thinking hasn't changed. We're lucky to have a crew who genuinely share the same passion for building this stuff and getting out there and using it.

You'll find plenty of us camping, touring, hitting the tracks, heading up the beach or getting away with family and mates.

And we reckon that matters.

Because the people building your setup understand what you're actually building it for.

Work when it needs to. Play when you want to.

Air down. Air up. Keep moving. 💨

Onboard air is one of those additions you don’t really appreciate until you have it.

Hit the beach or the tracks, drop your tyre pressures and when it’s time to head back onto the blacktop, simply grab the hose and air straight back up.

No digging the compressor out. No setting everything up on the side of the road. It’s permanently mounted, protected inside the toolbox and ready when you need it.

It’s a simple addition, but it’s these little details that make a setup easier to live with every day.
