I started The Earth is My Place® when I was 6 years old because I wanted to help protect our planet 🌏

What started with hand-drawn designs and a big dream has now become something bigger than I ever imagined.

Today, I’m so excited and grateful to share that I’ve been selected as a Finalist for the Redcliffe Business Awards in the Young Entrepreneur category, with the winner being announced on awards night on 28 May.

Every T-shirt, hoodie, cap and pair of sunglasses we sell is made with sustainability in mind — using recycled plastic bottles, organic cotton or other sustainably sourced materials.

Every design is inspired by nature and hand-drawn by me.

And for every item sold, we plant a tree in Africa. 🌱
So far, together, we’ve planted more than 2,000 trees.

This journey has never just been about clothing.
It’s about showing that age doesn’t matter when you want to make a difference.

I hope my story inspires other kids (and adults too) to believe in their ideas, care for the planet, and never think they’re too small to create change.

Thank you to everyone who has supported my journey, worn my designs, shared my story, and believed in my mission from the very beginning.

No matter what happens on awards night, I already feel incredibly proud of how far this journey has come.

I’m so grateful to every person who supports my small business.

Today is a very special day for me and my business 👕
Hi, I’m Sebastian, a young social entrepreneur and founder of The Earth is My Place.
When I started my recycled T-shirt business, my goal was to plant 1,000 trees in Africa to help our planet
(I plant one tree for every item sold).
Last year, I reached that goal…
and then I set a bigger one: to plant 5,000 trees in Africa.
Today, on my journey to reach that goal, I’m celebrating a new milestone:
✨ 2,000 Trees Planted! ✨
Yes! Since I started my business, I’ve planted over 2,000 trees 🌍🌳
I’m so grateful and so happy
What a way to finish this amazing year!

Thank you so much Jane Goodall institute Australia
This was a very special day.
It was the Dr. Jane Goodall Australian Memorial at Taronga Zoo in Sydney.
I was invited to share a video message to celebrate her life and everything she taught us. It was an honour and a very special gift for me to participate.
Jane inspired me to believe that when we connect with nature, we don’t just learn… we can make a difference in the world.
She showed me that every young voice matters. Every one of us has a role to play. And together, we can help shape a better future.
Jane’s example reminded me to keep believing in what I do, and if I could send a message to other young people like me, it would be: don’t wait. You’re not too young to create a positive impact.
Thank you, Jane, for a life that planted seeds of hope in all of us.

I’m super excited to share that my brand is now officially a Registered Trademark®!

It’s been a lot of hard work, passion, and love for nature, because every product I’ve sold has helped me plant a tree in Africa 🌳

Thank you to everyone who has supported me over all these years, and a big thank you to all the customers who keep coming back and say my T-shirts are their new favourites.
