Ok how much more local handmade do you need...the leather is tanned in Narangba , the belts are made in Redcliffe and you're gonna come buy them in Brisbane , this Saturday . Its my first time and it looks like a really good selection of handmade things so come say hi. Ps, im tryin to get better at the reels so if you could try watch past the first 3 seconds it would be much appreciated 😉🤣

Ok, I keep trying to post more regurlarly but life! If you've been following at all you'll know its been a few months since we moved up to Brisbane and we got a little settled and I set up my workshop and then....we've just moved again, again! Very last minute opportunity that we couldnt resist. So more details to follow, but for now you need to know 3 things....

1. I am just about done setting up my new workshop and this is the biggest space I've ever had! Very exciting, will post pics soon.

2. Im doing the on the 28th march. My first time and Ive only heard great things so really looking forward to this. It looks like a great bunch of makers so click thru for the details.

3. Some friends are putting together a directory of makers and artists so go give them a follow .do.play, we all need the exposure to keep making the things we love in Australia with our very own hands 🤘

It's very rare for me to make more than one of these tote bags in the exact same colour combos so most of them are ONE OF A KIND IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD (occasionally one of two 😉) and you can come get em in real life tomorrow at , 6am-1pm, just sayin 🤷‍♂️😁

From chaos comes order! I keep forgetting to post, but we're already back at it, first market of the year tomorrow, 7-1. OK, firstly, huge thanks to all of you that I have interacted with at markets and online in the last 2 months. That's about how long I've been properly settled in Brisbane so its been a whirlwind of setting up a brand new workshop and trying to find the right markets and find suppliers and make connections and confirm my passion for making stuff, with my actual hands, in the real world!

Case in point, I finally got round to making the burgundy belts in the crazy horse leather from . Just to clarify, it's made from cowhide and is one of the best leathers you can get, developing a beautiful patina over time! My first big project for next year, also called tomorrow, is to get my Etsy shop open again. It's been 'on vacation' for 3 years (if only 😂) so look out for that, and in the meantime, I hope y'all have a fab new year 😁👊

Trying out a new range of leathers from , the green is the same with different lining and hardware. The blue is from the same range and look out because there is a purple and burgundy that I just got, soon to be belts. All in prep for the xmas market on Saturday, ill post the details on my stories 😁

Our Story

Welcome to abide. Raised in South Africa, trained in England and now based in Australia, I aim to fuse all these influences to offer thoughtfully designed and masterfully crafted leather accessories and silver jewellery. Meeting at the crossroads of functionality and aesthetics, I manufacture all of our products in my home studio in Mt Beauty, Victoria, using a combination of traditional and contemporary techniques. From initial design to final product, including material sourcing and selection, I am there every step of the way to ensure that the products we make are sustainable, ethical and of premium quality. I love creating all of abide’s bags, belts, wallets, aprons and jewellery and revel in the challenge of bespoke creations for customers....so don't hesitate to get in touch with your crazy ideas!
