Hi friends
Sorry for the radio silence life has been a bit hectic recently (with good and not so good bits) and sewing has taken a bit of a back seat.
I have decided to go back to basics with this page and will be going back to just showcasing dog items again. I realised it was a little confusing for new followers, who had followed me for the dog items, to then see me posting my other random sews.
With this in mind, the summer months may be a little quiet on here as the dog sewing is seasonal (winter). I will still be here over summer and custom orders are always open, so if there is anything you need out of season please reach out to me.

A lovely little selection of flannels and cotton about to head into the wash for a secret squirrel sewing project. Very excited to sew these up they are soooo pretty 😍
Watch this space for the final product at the end of the month.

First sew of
July was slow sewing as I just had no free time. August is looking a little better and I'm making time to sew, even just a little bit when I can.
This was a new pattern I bought so I was fully expecting to have to make some adjustments to the pattern, but no! I am pleasantly surprised.
A Taos pullover in fleece with flannel, rainbow zips and home made bias binding 😍
Not a quick sew but easy to follow and very happy with the final fit.
I got a bit annoyed towards the end as I just wanted it finished so am going to make some easy projects in between before I make another version of this.
Happy to be back making things 😍

It's been a productive week of sewing, I've no idea how as life seems as busy as always 🤪 but I've made time to make a couple of new to me patterns and im very happy with both of them.
First is the oversized sweater from Patterns for Pirates from a lovely cotton Lycra from Sew Unique Fabrics Group This is more purple in person then it shows it the photo and will make a great mid season jumper for when it's cool but not cold.
Second is a Meet you there dress from Pattern Emporium with some linen/linen slub I had in my stash. This was a mock up so just used random pieces but I really like how this turned out. I'm not usually a dress person but this will definately get worn in the warmer weather and I can now make my real deal one, happy knowing it will fit

First make of the month 😁
Super happy with this flannel shirt, especially considering how wonky this fabric was when I first washed it 🤪
It will be the perfect layering piece for those, not cold enough for a jumper but too cold for a t shirt, moments.
I love the oversized fit but reckon I could size down 1 in the waist area for a less baggy fit
Second one is already cut out and about to be sewn 💃

Thought I was being clever making a new jumper for the diva with a zip in the back.
She has an issue with me touching her feet so doesn't like the jumpers when the leg hole options. I thought this would be an easier option as she could just stand in it and I could pull it up.
Turns out I was very wrong about this and I should know better- not keen on leg holes at all mum 🙄😆
So whilst this is beautiful and I love the colour of the zip with this fleece, this one will be getting re-made into a pop over coat when no leg holes.
The things we do to keep our (fur) kids happy 🙄🤪

The is back 💃
Turns out all I needed was some pretty fabric and the urge to sew came right back 🤣
2 things finished this week. The first (rainbow) is a surprise gift so I can't show any more of this (take my word it is cute though), second is a new bandana for miss Keva's collection. The leopard print is my new favourite print- there are so many options for matching tops when you have all these colours in one. I have a pair of joggers cut out in the fabric which is next to sew- can't wait for those 😍

Orders for dog jumpers are open as always, I can't believe it's nearly the end of May and we haven't had a cold snap here yet 😱 They will be needed soon enough im sure.

Gosh, that was an extended silent period wasn't it. Sorry about that. I lost my sewjo about halfway through last month and it's just been lacking ever since. I was halfway through a project which has finally been finished today 💃 so I'm hopeful that the excitement will come back again now that's over (it wasn't a hard project just required some brain power, which isn't always there after a hectic day/week at work).

I have a good mound of fleece and flannel that I will take a photo of and pop up for you to browse. I'm keen to get some doggy jumpers on the go so if there is anything in there that takes your fancy then please let me know and I can get onto that right away (will post that in a seperate post)

In the meantime here is my first make of May, and what has been keeping me from making anything else for the last few weeks 🤣
I have to say it's very pretty so it was worth the effort.

Hi friends, sorry for the silence at the start of this month, it's been unusually hectic and I've not had much time to sew at all.
Rest assured I am still here 😁
It's that funny in between season now where I don't want/need to sew any more summer clothes but it's also not cool enough to sew proper winter clothes 🤪
It's also not been really cold enough for any doggy PJs/Raincoats yet but I am open and willing to sew these whenever you like, so if you want to get ahead of the weather then please let me know.
I have some fleece in stock for PJs as well as a very small amount of flannel and waterproof fabric for either raincoats or fleece coats.
As always I'm happy to order in any colours/prints you would like as part of your custom order.
Hope you are all staying cool in this never ending warm weather 🌡️

(This flannel below is available for combining with fleece or waterproof for a coat. I was going to make a shirt with it but for some reason I can't get the lines to line up and my OCD just could not wear a mis-aligned short y🤪. My loss is the pups gain)

Item number #5 of the month- I'm on a roll 💃
Super simple tee pattern from Greenstyle - Pattern and Fabric Group
This is going to be a part of a sleep set in making. Short sleeve top and shorts and long sleeve top and joggers
Lovely soft bamboo cotton Lycra from The Telarie . I originally bought this to make a dress from, but when it arrived I realised I needed something with a bit more structure for the dress, so this is the back up option ☺️
You can never have too many PJs 😆

Make number 3 & 4 for the month, and we still have 12 days to go 😁
Simple and easy tank tops with integrated bra. I really like these for layering. They fit a little closer than the other tank tops I've made so probably won't wear them as stand alone pieces, but they will get used under long sleeve shirts or tops in the cooler months.
This was the tank top lengthened to hip length as the original is a cropped length which doesn't sit right on me 🤪
Wondering if I make one more whilst I'm on a roll or move on to something new

I haven't sewn anything in a few days, not because I've been busy etc (which I have), but because I've nothing cut out ready to sew. I hate the cutting out part, especially when I'm in the mood to sew. I really wish I could just pay someone to cut it out for me and it just got delivered to me already cut ready for sewing 🤣
Anyway, since that doesn't exist in Hong to sit here and scroll a bit longer before hopefully managing to actually cut something.
We will see 🤪
