NEW SWATCHES FROM WINTERBOTTOM PRODUCTS!!

With the closure of the 160 year old Bamberger mill in Germany last year, we have been working carefully to find replacements. Our new European manufactured range of Cialux (replacing Iris), Paradise (replacing Duo), Fantasy (replacing Record) and Galaxy (replacing Chromo) have hit the shelves in our warehouse. We have also introduced four new colours to the Parigina PU range and have added a new Bonded leather line called Sebago.

Our Vegan Certified Parigina PU will give your next handover kit, menu, corporate diary or gift box an ultra-executive look and feel. This premium Italian product which has the look and feel of leather is locally supplied from our Sydney warehouse. There are 11 different colours in our stock range with a further 13 colours available to order from the mill.

Chelsea is our most economical bookbinding cloth.

It has a 100% cotton base with a unique linen look. With its pigmented acrylic face coat, Chelsea is dirt and moisture resistant which is perfect for book covers, stationery products, slipcases, presentation boxes, folders, linings and spine reinforcement. Whilst still considered to be a buckram product, Chelsea is a little lighter than our standard Arbelave buckram which makes it easier to work with when creasing and folding those more detailed jobs.

Bookbinding Lives On

The success of Harry's book "Spare" comes as printed book sales in Australia have been growing in numbers during the Covid years. We are seeing a resurgence of visits to actual bricks and mortar bookstores along with an increase of locally produced novels.

Interestingly, the 410pp hardback "SPARE" sold 64,000 copies in its first week. This number sold is more than three times the previous record, held by rugby league great Darren Lockyer.

Hardcovers were printed and wrapped with our Rainbow Binding Paper !

Arbelave Library Buckram

Buckram covering materials are strong, moisture and mildew resistant, they are best used when covering repeatedly handled products such as menus, folders, library books and law reports where quality, durability and colour consistency are key.

Winterbottom's have been supplying the English produced Arbelave Library buckram (ALB) for over 50 years to the Australian market. With 25 locally stocked colours to choose from and many more available from the mill you can find the right colour for any job. Our white is digitally printable and PMS matched colours can be made to order (minimum req.)
