It is with mixed emotions that we announce the closure of Acts of Kindness Apparel after 5 years of serving our community ❤️

From the very beginning, our mission was simple but powerful: to support mental health and su***de awareness by donating 20% of our proceeds to local organisations. We are incredibly grateful to each of you who supported us, whether through a purchase, a share, or simply spreading the word. Together, we’ve made a real difference, and your kindness has meant the world to us.

Last Friday we made our final donations in the form of apparel and accessories totalling $2668.60 to some incredible local organisations:
✌️ Firstly the adult items to Berry Street Shepparton Education First Youth Foyer, who provide safe, secure accommodation to young people while they study and build their independence
✌️ And secondly the baby and kids items to Greater Shepparton Lighthouse Project Family Haven Mooroopna, who connect critical family support services in a welcoming and positive environment.

Although our chapter is coming to a close, we hope our collective impact will carry on, continuing to open conversations around mental health and providing inspiration for what small local businesses can achieve

When we started AOK Apparel, we had a purpose in mind

We wanted to lift the stigma of mental health to create a talking piece and a platform that says, 'I understand' and 'I am an open ear to listen'

We wanted to give back to the community and into local places that provide critical support services

We are proud to say that between November 2019 and November 2022, with your support, we donated over $4000

We believe in what we have created and are deeply humbled by our achievements

Though life changes, we recognise that we are unable to give AOK the attention it deserves

There is more to be done and hence we would like to pass on this platform to someone who can continue this vision

Our lives have changed significantly in the last year but one thing that hasn’t changed is our passion for raising awareness and removing the stigma of mental health in our community

For personal reasons and after nearly 3 years we’re taking a step back for a little while.
