Every bride deserves to feel amazing in her dress ✨

Courtney found her wedding dress online for her upcoming wedding, but when it arrived, it just wasn’t the right fit. The dress was around two sizes too big, so she came to us to have it carefully altered to suit her perfectly.

We took the gown in through the centre back, shortened the skirt to the ideal length, and reshaped the sleeves to create a more flattering finish. The result was a beautifully fitted dress that felt made just for her on such a special day. 🙌🏻

We worked with Jan on this stunning piece for her 60th birthday celebration, and the final piece was incredible! 🙌🏻

We were able to get the dress fitting exactly the way she wanted, after a number of alterations. Alterations included putting a firming power net lining (almost like a spanks style lining) inside the dress to make her feel fabulous. We also shortened the sleeves, added big shoulder pads & reshaped the skirt down the side seams.

At L&B we specialise in alterations, and especially love working with clients to create the perfect pieces for their special occasions.

A stunning set for Rhonda 🙌🏻

A couple years ago we made this lovely pair of pants, and this year Rhonda came back with the left over fabric and we created a matching top for the set, with black trim.

Worn on her recent cruise, the outfit turned heads everywhere she went and attracted countless compliments along the way!

Mia already had her formal dress, but wanted to make a few changes to make it feel a little more special and completely her ✨

We lined the dress for extra coverage, added soft draping through the left side, and turned the hem into an abstract uneven finish for something a bit different.

The best part? The tiny leftover piece of fabric from the back corner of the hem was used to create a matching bowtie and hanky for her date 🤍 Such a fun little detail and the perfect way to use every last bit.

Anne Marie brought in a little jacket that belonged to her mum that she had always loved, and wanted recreated as a special keepsake in memory of her after she passed ✨

We recreated the piece using beautiful Alla Moda fabrics — with Swiss cotton through the main body and a textured bouclé-style Italian jacquard trim to finish it off.
