Are you okay? Today is "R U Okay" Day, we thought it would be a good idea to say hello to our friends of Hong Kong Masks Australia. Masks protect us in certain ways and keep us healthy. It is equally important to keep ourselves mentally healthy, small act of kindness like simply asking 'R U OK?' when you bump into your neighbours would make so much difference.

[Latest Update in Victoria ] Starting from midnight tonight, Victoria will enter a 7-day circuit-breaker lockdown. Face masks have to be worn everywhere except your home. See below for more details from ABC Melbourne re lockdown restrictions.

BREAKING: NEW COVID-19 CASE
A fifth person has tested positive for coronavirus in Victoria. New restrictions will come into effect for Melbourne from 6pm tonight.
Private gatherings in homes will be limited to 5 people, public gatherings will be limited to 30 people and face masks are to be worn indoors in Melbourne.

Latest Update in Perth - The Perth metropolitan, Peel and the South West regions has just began a five day full lockdown.

In case you were wondering, THIS is a map of Perth, Peel and the South West.

From 6:00PM Sunday until 6:00PM Friday, anyone who lives in this area are not allowed to leave their homes for anything other than the below essential reasons:

📌Shopping for essentials like groceries, medicine and necessary supplies
📌Medical or healthcare needs, including compassionate requirements and looking after the vulnerable
📌Exercise within their neighbourhood, but only with one other person and only for one hour per day
📌Work, where you cannot work from home or remotely

For further clarification;
📌 People should not leave Perth, Peel or the South-West during this period;
📌People can enter Perth, Peel or the South-West only to access or deliver essential health and emergency services and other essential requirements;
📌Non-residents currently in Perth, Peel and the South-West are required to remain until the end of the restriction period however if you must leave for serious reasons you are to then return home immediately, stay home and tested if symptoms develop.

The WA Police Commissioner Chris Dawson said he can’t guarantee police resources will be at vehicle checkpoints tonight, but they will be put in place by tomorrow morning.

“If you need to move between South West and for instance, to Perth, you’ll need a G2G pass. That will be checked at the QR checking points police will be setting up.

“That will be carefully policed and it will be carefully policed.

“We need to support the entire community, I want to make sure police are in shopping centres and places like that to make sure we’ve got community calm but certainly the checkpoints will be out in full force tomorrow,” he said.

We are happy to share that we have donated over 9000 masks in total. We are happy to see that there is a dramatic drop in COVID-19 cases across Australia. We would like to say thank you to everyone who have supported us and also to our volunteers who spent time making and distributing our masks.

If you are still looking for a mask, we have a Hong Kong Mask free pattern available for download so everyone can DIY their own fabric mask. You can also find and buy a face mask online, or you can make one that suits your personality and fits your face comfortably. Please remember to maintain all the Covid-Safe measures such as wearing a mask , maintaining good hygiene, washing your hands for 20 seconds and practicing physical distancing.

Lockdown in Brisbane will be lifted but ‘face masks will remain mandatory for 10 more days with possible virus carriers still undetected in the region.’

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has lifted Brisbane's three-day coronavirus lockdown but people will have to carry and wear face masks for another 10 days.

Latest update in NSW- Residents of Greater Sydney, Blue Mountains and the Central Coast must wear masks in shopping centres, public transport and other public indoor venues.

VICTORIA RECORDS MORE COVID CASES
Victoria has recorded another 3 cases of COVID on top of the 3 recorded yesterday. 52 close contacts have been identified across Melbourne.
From 5pm tonight the limit of people in a house will be down from 30 to 15; masks will be mandatory indoors.
All Victorians told to return home now.
