has been complaining that I don't have enough fibre hobbies, so I picked up this supported spindle from . This is my first ever spin on a supported spindle, and I'm pretty happy with it. Spinning beautiful BFL from a sheep I know personally, 'Bill' from . He's a lovely boy, and his fleece is perfect for the beginner spindler.

Spindle is full so I will be transferring to the illustrious toilet roll so I can spin some more singles.

I'm excited to join
I have been spinning this beautiful natural coloured polworth fibre from the past month. I have spun and plied 300 grams at sport weight with the ambition of knitting .
I couldn't wait to finish the whole spin before I cast on. I'm almost through the body, but there is still a long way to go with a sizeable hood and both sleeves still to knit. I'm so happy with this knit as it's my first handspun garment. It's so light and squishy as I have spun it from rolags making it a woolen spun yarn. Can't wait to snuggle up in it. I'm hoping to have it finished when the weather turns in May. Might be a little ambitious.

This is one of my all time favorite knits, hot off the needles. Beautiful Manos Marla yarn in Gold paired with Malilabrigo sock in black creates a high contrast yoke that really shows off the beautiful pattern by .
The pattern is an absokute dream to knit. I cropped mine for easy wear with dresses and chose the Ribbed sleeves rather than the lace. I see a long sleeve version in my future. Absolutely recommend!

After years of dreaming of this day it has finally arrived. I am offering kids textile/sewing workshops out of my new private studio.

Saturday 10th December, 10am-11.30am, Springwood, NSW.
(Studio address will be emailed once ticket for class has been purchased).

This first class teaches children how to make pom poms and construct 2 pairs of Earrings over 1.5hrs.

These Earrings would make the pefect teacher gift or Christmas gift for mum or grandma.

I am a primary trained teacher with a lifetimes experience in textiles and sewing. Teaching is my passion and I look forward to sharing my knowledge, teaching students how to make their own wearable art to take home.
