Happy New Year from WHG!
It’s been a little quiet around here lately — life, kids, sewing, all the things — but I’m popping back in to say I’m still here 😊
School holiday sewing workshops are coming up, and I’ve got a bunch of fun sessions planned for kids who love to make things with their hands and learn a new skill ✂️
We’ll be sewing clothing, bags, accessories and more in the studio.

We have had a great last term in sewing club 🎄
Thank you so much to all the families who have joined and the ones who have come back again and again, you all mean the world to me ❤️

🌟 Huge congratulations to my amazing little sewing friend Lily! 🌟

Today she absolutely shone at the Kenilworth Show, taking out 1st place for her pleated skirt and 3rd place for her shoulder bag 🏆
Both pieces were sewn so beautifully and the technical difficulties were beyond her years, I couldn’t be prouder of her hard work, creativity, and determination!
We had such a great time at the show, and being there to see Lily was truly the best part of the day 💛.
It’s an honour for me to be a little part of these moments.

If you’ve ever felt discouraged when something goes wrong at the sewing machine, remember, we all mess up sometimes — and that’s completely okay! ❤️
The truth is, no matter how long you’ve been sewing, you’re never “done” learning! Sometimes your moments of great learning happen when you totally mess up (in front of everyone!) 😂
Look closely at the beautiful stingray one of the kids was making today, I don’t think the eyes go there!

So here’s your reminder: don’t be afraid of mistakes — they’re part of the fun, part of the journey, and part of what makes us all better makers ❤️

How fabulous are these bags 😍
These guys have only had 2 sessions here and this is what they have done already!
Our kids sessions are every second Saturday and they have been booked out ❤️
The next one is on the 30th of August and there are still spots available, but they are going fast!
We hope to see some new faces at the next one 😊✂️
