had 5 hours to organise & plan for a shoot for our new black mock neck top and it rained the whole day.
So I grabbed a bed sheet as a backdrop and brought a horse in to make it interesting. not everything goes to plan, but sometimes that’s where the best ideas come from. loved seeing this vision come to life.

but somewhere in the 24 hours of chaos, I was inspired by realising being a horse girl is turning up no matter the condition; ride in the wet, you wear the dirt, and horse is never really clean all the time (or at all). so we decided to embrace it.

I genuinely couldn’t understand it for the longest time, Fashion is such a huge part of how women express themselves & you see it everywhere else. Activewear, office wear, going out, staying in. Women are being dressed well and thoughtfully in basically every space they occupy.
And then there’s equestrian…

Same pieces with different logos stamped on it. Same idea of what a rider is supposed to look like. Like somewhere along the way it was decided that functional was enough and nobody questioned it.

But I questioned it constantly. Because the women I know who ride are some of the most particular, quality driven, aesthetically aware people I’ve met. They’re not settling in any other area of their life. Why would they settle here?
Stella Cavalla came from that frustration. I wanted pieces that were actually worth wearing, that felt editorial, considered, different from everything else on the market. That you’d reach for because you loved them, not just because they’d do the job.

You shouldn’t have to choose between looking good and feeling good. That was never actually the deal, it’s definitely not ours.
