Welcome, Poppy, to our family! Hereās the story of how this little pup became part of our lives.
A few nights ago, Jon and I had a chat. If you know me, you know Iād happily have all the animals in the world, but Jonās been saying no to any new pets. His reason? Heās planning to retire in three years and wants to travelāwhich can be tricky with a house full of pets! But as fate would have it, things changed.
One evening, Jon and Julian were outside when Jon said, āMate, someone needs to teach you how to use the whipper snipper.ā Jules, whoās more of an indoor gamer, responded, āI already know how!ā Jon bet him $1,000 he couldnāt start it, knowing there was a little trick to it.
A couple of days later, we came across some adorable puppies; one in particular felt special to us. Determined to win, Julian said, āIf I can start the whipper snipper, weāre getting that dog.ā Jon agreed, and Jules, our thinker, went step-by-step and started it on the first go.
And thatās how Poppy came into our lives! Her name is close to our hearts because of its connection to ANZAC Day, which means so much to all of us. Itās also a tribute to our beloved Anzac, or as we called him, āour big boy.ā Anzac was born on ANZAC Day and was one of a kind. Even to this day, there are many tears shed for him because he was such a special part of our lives. Everyone who met him was amazed by his beauty and gentle nature, and we were so lucky to have him.
We hope that, in time, youāll get to know Poppy and fall in love with her sweet little personality just as much as we already have. Welcome to the family, Poppy! š¾ā¤
