A Knitter’s Daily Life 🧶🍍

Today we’re eating … no, wait… knitting… fruit! 🍓🍍🍎

This special 100% pure cashmere heavyweight sweatshirt features 16 fruit drawings created by the family’s two children, carefully knitted into the garment to create their very own 2026 commemorative sweater.

As a little hidden surprise, we secretly knitted a tiny “2026” onto the sleeve as a keepsake.

The 2025 version was beautiful too. Looking back now, the children’s drawings were much more innocent and playful. One year later, they’ve already grown into little master artists! 🎨✨

And there will be next year, and the year after that, and many more to come.

These sweaters become more than just clothing — they capture a family’s happiness day by day and preserve the precious memories of watching children grow.

I have to admit, this one made me smile. It’s just so sweet. ❤️

The bright sunshine yellow paired with fresh grass green and soft beige trims looks absolutely gorgeous. The more I look at it, the more I love it.

In fact, it looks so delicious that I’ve been staring at the knitting machine and getting hungry. 🤣

Now I suddenly have a craving for pineapple… and honestly, I have no idea why! 🍍😆

Today we started knitting a very special sweater inspired by a child’s drawing for one of our customers.

This was not an ordinary project. It was the first time we had developed this pattern, and the construction was exceptionally complex—a double-layered, extra-thick design, knitted continuously with the entire structure rotated 90 degrees from a conventional sweater. It was the kind of design that could only be perfected through repeated sampling, testing and refinement.

Knowing there would be many experiments along the way, I was reluctant to risk using the customer’s favourite colour palette of lemon yellow, green and beige. So instead, I reached for my treasured collection of colourful yarn remnants that I had carefully saved over the years.

With those precious little yarn balls—colourful, unpredictable and full of character—we created our first prototype.

The randomly changing colours produced an unexpected result. The front and back panels looked beautiful from both sides, each with its own unique charm. Even so, I was still concerned that the proportions and sizing might not work as intended.

So I switched roles from knitwear designer to sewing enthusiast, carefully hand-assembling the sample pieces with cotton yarn to test the shape.

The moment it came together, I knew we had something special.

The silhouette was charming, playful and surprisingly cute—far better than I had imagined.

In the end, I couldn’t bear to take it apart.

Instead, I decided to finish the sample with a fresh lemon-yellow and green collar and cuffs, and send it on to the next stage for final assembly.

Creating new designs is always an adventure.

Sometimes the process brings moments of panic.

Sometimes it brings unexpected joy.

And every now and then, a simple experiment turns into something too lovely to undo. 🇦🇺
