In the stillness of your own heart… there is a conversation waiting to happen.

A moment where you ask yourself
Am I moving closer to Allah, or further away?

Allah ﷻ says in the Qur’an
“And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves, remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins…” (3:135)

Reflection in Islam is not about perfection.
It is about returning, again and again, no matter how many times we fall.

The Prophet ﷺ said
“All the children of Adam are sinners, and the best of sinners are those who repent often.”
(Sahih – Sunan Ibn Majah)

So sit with yourself tonight…
Not to judge, but to realign.
Not to dwell, but to return.

Because the path to Allah is always open
and sometimes, it begins with a single honest reflection.

Ramadan Mubarak from all of us at SOFINAS 🌙✨

As we enter this blessed month of Ramadan, may it be a time of renewal, reflection, and returning to what truly matters. A month where hearts soften, duʿas rise, and every small act of sincerity is multiplied beyond measure.

May Allah ﷻ accept our fasting, our prayers, our charity, and our quiet moments of remembrance. May this Ramadan refine our character, strengthen our īmān, and draw us closer to Him.

Islam honoured women long before the world debated their rights.

Allah ﷻ says:

“Indeed, the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and believing women… Allah has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward.”
(Qur’an 33:35)

“Indeed, the believing men and believing women are allies of one another. They enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and establish prayer and give zakah and obey Allah and His Messenger. Those – Allah will have mercy upon them. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.”
(Qur’an 9:71)

Equal in worth. Equal in accountability. Equal in reward.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“The best of you are the best to their women.”
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Tirmidhī)

Islam gave women the right to education, ownership, consent in marriage, inheritance, dignity, and protection, not as a favour, but as a divine command.

Honour, mercy, and justice are not modern ideas.
They are Islamic principles.

ʿĀ’ishah رضي الله عنها said:
“I never saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ fast an entire month except Ramadan, and I never saw him fast more than he did in Shaʿbān.”
— Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim

In another narration:
“He would fast all of Shaʿbān, or almost all of it.”
— Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim

Shaʿbān was not a single night or event, but a month of consistent, sustained worship. A bridge to Ramadan, where the Prophet ﷺ prepared his heart and taught his ummah to prepare theirs through quiet effort and sincere intention.

O Allah, raise our deeds while we are pleasing to You, and allow us to enter Ramadan with hearts already turned back to You. 🤍

Our children are the coolness of our eyes, gifts wrapped in mercy.

Allah ﷻ describes the people of īmān as those who plead, “Our Lord, grant us from our spouses and our offspring the coolness of our eyes, and make us leaders for the righteous.”
— Qur’an 25:74

And in a beautiful narration, the Prophet ﷺ said that among the joys of this world made beloved to him were his family and the tranquility of the eye in prayer. It reminds us that true comfort, true calm, is found in nurturing the bonds Allah entrusted to us — beginning with our children.

Our little ones soften our hearts, pull us into sujūd with deeper sincerity, and become mirrors showing us who we are and who we’re striving to be. Their laughter eases our burdens. Their innocence draws us closer to Allah. Their presence makes our homes places of sakīnah, light, and purpose.

May Allah make our children a source of coolness, not hardship; a means of joy, not grief; a path to Jannah, not distraction.
May He allow us to raise them with gentleness, duʿā, and prophetic character.

A daughter is an amanah — a heart entrusted to us, shaped with mercy. As mothers, we guide her steps, remind her of her worth, and show her what it means to be a woman of īmān: steady, graceful, and rooted in devotion.

Our whispered duʿas, gentle corrections, and stories of faith pass from one palm to another.
