What started as a hobby became a lifeline…

When I stepped away from the pace of fast fashion, I picked up a paintbrush to relax and unwind. But found healing instead.

Healing from burnout, perfectionism, the hustle and the pressure of staying on trend.

Every brushstroke now is freedom. Each flower I paint celebrates strength, joy, and the beauty of blooming.

This work isn’t about productivity anymore… it’s about peace, reconnection, and slowing down.

My heart and soul feels lighter. And my nervous system is at ease when I’m in the studio.

I never knew picking up a paintbrush again would change my life.

When I stepped away from freelancing for fast fashion, I thought I was closing one door — but really, I was opening another.

Each painting has been a journey back to myself. A way of letting go of burnout, of perfectionism, of the constant need to be productive.

Today, my work celebrates joy. Growth. Feminine strength. And the beauty of blooming at your own pace.

Painting florals has given me the confidence to embrace femininity, celebrate joy, become more mindful and sit with the present.

And the crazy thing? It’s taught me a big lesson about letting go of perfectionism.

The less I care about the outcome (and about what other people think), my paint strokes get looser. Expressive flowers emerge.

When I walked away from the world of fast fashion, I thought I was simply making space for a hobby.

But painting became more than that… it became healing.

Healing from burnout, perfectionism and the endless need to always be on trend.

Now, each brushstroke feels like a release. Every floral I create is a quiet celebration of strength, softness, and growth.

I don’t regret leaving fashion behind — because now, I paint for joy. For peace. For you.

Hey everyone!

I pretty much abandoned this account but I’m back. I wanted to re-introduce myself to new followers here 👋

My name is Carolyn (Caz), and my creative path has pivoted more ways than one.

As someone who recently decided to stop client work as a freelance fashion print designer, I wanted to let you know that know that my patterns are still available for licensing.

I can change the colours and scale to suit your brand and products. No worries!

However, I don’t see myself making any more patterns on the future. Instead, I’ve been focussing on a new path: painting originals and selling fine art prints 🖼️

I started a new account and it’s been so hard to grow it! Could you do me a favour and follow me? .art

In the meantime, I will still post here, but it will be slowly changing to be more fine art related content. Heads up… there will be a lot of messy paint palettes and behind the scenes! But it will still be very botanical and floral 🌸
