We’re currently finalising the next collection — built around proportion, length, and material.

The process is slower than it might seem. Especially working in small productions and developing pieces for taller women.

There’s no fixed template.
Every style requires its own balance — between rise, length, fabric, and structure.

Some pieces go through multiple fabric iterations before they feel right. Others start with a fabric and only then find their final form.

For me, it always starts with the material.
How it feels. How it moves. What it’s made of.

We try to avoid synthetic fibres wherever possible and work with natural fabrics — even if that means more testing, more adjustments, and more time.

This is the part you don’t always see.
But it shapes everything that comes after.

Fabric is never just a surface.
It’s the starting point.

Natural fibres are chosen wherever possible — linen, cotton, viscose — for their breathability, their softness on skin, and the way they move with the body. Not perfectly, not in every design, but with intention.

Some silhouettes need stretch. Some constructions need support. In those moments, function comes first — and only what’s necessary is added.

What matters most is how a fabric behaves over time.
How it feels after hours of wear.
How it moves, how it ages, how it lives with you.

Quiet decisions.
Made for everyday wear.
Designed with the body in mind.

Low stock is a conscious decision for us.

We produce intentionally and only what’s needed — to avoid overproduction, unnecessary waste, and constant pressure to sell.

At the moment, we focus on the sizes most women actually wear: XS to L, with two lengths where fit really matters.
This is where we are right now — not a final statement.
As we grow and see clear demand, we’re open to extending and adjusting our sizing.

For certain styles, like dresses or knitwear, we work with double sizes or one size when the design allows for movement and ease.

The result is a calmer way of producing — and a calmer way of buying.
No urgency. No excess stock.
Just pieces made with intention.

A wardrobe doesn’t need more pieces.
It needs the right ones.

Designed for movement, ease, and everyday wear —
these are the pieces that quietly become part of your routine.

Chosen once.
Worn often.

Essentials, redefined.

Production is a long process.
Much longer than it often looks from the outside.

Before a piece arrives in a shop or online,
it begins with an idea —
a sketch, thoughts about proportion, length, movement.

Fabrics are selected and tested.
Patterns are developed.
Samples are sewn, adjusted, changed again.
Sometimes more than once.

From the first drawing to final production,
several months can pass.
Especially when working in small batches and with small workshops.

This way of working means being close to every step.
Constant exchange, many small decisions,
a lot of time spent communicating, checking details, refining.

Over the next weeks, we’ll share more of this process —
step by step.

Not as a finished story,
but as an insight into how these pieces come into being.

Fewer pieces, neutral tones, fabrics that feel right —
not because less is a rule, but because it creates space.

For women who prefer to decide consciously once,
and return to the same pieces again and again.

I’ve been thinking a lot about how this brand should grow in the coming years —
not in terms of speed, but in terms of structure.

Essentials is made in small batches, in close collaboration with workshops in Bali.
That choice allows me to keep stock low, work responsibly, and reinvest continuously into new designs instead of overproducing.
It’s a way of working that feels aligned — but it also comes with questions, especially when it comes to online orders and international shipping.

What matters most to me is that the process feels clear and convenient for the customer.
That it’s understandable. That it builds trust.
Not because everything is perfect or fast, but because the decisions behind it make sense.

I’m currently exploring different possibilities — including how and where orders should be fulfilled in the future, and whether proximity creates more trust, or whether transparency already does that work.
There isn’t a final answer yet. And that’s okay.

I’m sharing these thoughts openly because this brand isn’t built on assumptions.
It grows through careful decisions, dialogue, and a long-term view —
always balancing practicality, responsibility, and what feels right.

The Putu pants, worn the way a day unfolds.

Soft on the skin.
Light enough to move without thinking.
Present, without asking for attention.

The fabric follows the body —
not the other way around.
Nothing tight. Nothing rigid.
Just ease, from morning to evening.

Two lengths.
One feeling.
