Crosstalk Records Crosstalk Records is a Leichhardt-based record store, audio museum and purveyor of all things musical. Music is for everyone and we intend to keep it that way!

We sell new and used LPs, CDs, tapes as well as turntables and speakers. We're pet-friendly and pretty much just really love music. Your friendly neighborhood record store - come in and have a gab! Crosstalk Records is Leichhardt's new home for recorded music of every genre under the sun; a space for cosy in-stores, great gigs, sober-friendly events, and a community hub where the tenets of support

and mutual aid are encouraged (especially in these uncertain and scary times of sickness, lockdowns, inflation and unexpected hoardes of wildebeast). More than anything we can't wait to chat and laugh with you all and talk all things music. All are welcome at Crosstalk (but, as Dead Kennedys said it best, N**i Punks F**k Off). This store will forever be a safe-space and hub for q***r creativity and performance as long as we are open. Sexism, racism, transphobia and any associated hatespeech will not be tolerated. Please be conscious of the space you occupy whilst in our store and respectful of fellow customers. See you at the store!

JOSH'S CURRENT AOTY OF 2026 (i don't see that changing before year's end): Winnower by Texas-based experimental mathy folk band Hikes.

This album is absolutely incredible start to finish and every time I've played it in the store someone has asked about it. Sadly there's no available vinyl release (which makes this probably an annoying post for a vinyl record store to make but go listen to it anyway).

DEAR HIKES: PLEASE DO A BIGGER VINYL PRESSING AND SEND IT TO THIS RANDOM RECORD STORE IN AUSTRALIA.

I'm rustling my way through the entirety of Alt, absolutlely DEMOLISHING prices on anything I want (like.. most of it?) with absolutely no regard for what we paid for it! I simply don't care about money!
