Every time I travel to Melbourne, I stay at the Hotel Windsor.

Not because it's the newest hotel. Quite the opposite.

There's something about it that reminds me of the classic elegance of an Agatha Christie novel. Timeless. Understated. Full of history.

It has quietly become part of my Mea Via ritual.

Before I visit our makers, I spend the night there. The next morning, I head to The Sample Room - the Melbourne workroom where every Mea Via garment begins.

Those visits aren't glamorous. They're spent fitting collars, refining patterns, checking samples, discussing fabrics and making countless tiny decisions that most people will never see.

Because those tiny details matter.

We deliberately produce in small runs, here in Melbourne, working closely with people who genuinely care about making beautiful garments well, not simply making them faster.

For me, Australian made isn't a marketing slogan.
It's the ability to walk into the workroom, collaborate with the people creating each piece, and leave knowing every garment has received the attention it deserves.

It's slower. It's harder.
But it's exactly how I wanted to build Mea Via.
