Trying my hand at some smaller personal projects for the holiday period.
I've been seeing heart shaped bags all over Pinterest, so naturally when I saw Reverse Garbage had leather swatches, my mind got ticking! I'd love to try and patchwork the pieces together. I've worked with leather and bags many years ago, so I'm looking forward to this creative challenge!

I do plan to make this bag in other fabrics too.

🥁🥁 ... Introducing the Stitch Jacket!

While this is still only a sneak peek, I'm super excited about giving this jacket a proper test and fit. So far I'm loving the easy throw on factor and it pairs amazingly with so many styles.

This sample is cut from a vintage blue denim from . Perfect mid weight fabric for this project. I've contrasted it with a tan Rasant thread for a classic denim aesthetic.

In between a few projects and custom work, I'm really hoping I'll have this jacket fitted, graded and ready for the world before bub #2 arrives 🤞🏻🤞🏻

The last year has been a whirlwind with welcoming my first child and a few unexpected and last minute events. Spending time with my now one year old (🥹) has been an amazing, tiring, bittersweet experience. It allowed me to take a step back from the fast pace of life.

Of course, as I'm expecting my second child in only a matter of months, I've been hit with inspiration and a refreshed design mind, (ignoring the pregnancy and toddler brain). I've always really enjoyed pattern making and the technical side, some skills I've taken from college and others self taught along the way. In between sewing for friends and family, I'm exploring making my own digital patterns and see where that takes me before I have another baby break. I'm currently working on a jacket style that I love. I'm really enjoying my digital pattern journey so far. While I still like to create patterns on paper, I'd love to be able to share my patterns with the online world.
