Sad day for the Aussie music scene with Midnight Oil drummer Rob Hirst succumbing to a long battle with cancer.

Rob Hirst was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2023.

Lovely day to be out in the sunshine at the Annual Carrington Fair.

Being a retirement village, all of the aunts & grandmas do a heap of baking & cooking in the lead-up to the event and their stall sells out very quickly.

Hard to say no though.

Cabonne Balloon Glow at Canowindra, great big crowd & lots of fun.

Even though its a long way from Sydney, its an event more people should attend. Just make sure you bring a good hoodie, its gets cold after dark.

Even though the rain gods decided to sprinkle us three times across the day, it did nothing to deter the local folk from enthusiastically turning up in big numbers at today’s launch of Maroubra Beach Markets. We shared plenty of stories & laughs with everyone who visited us and we genuinely look forward to seeing them all again next time.

Over the past month, we have heard a number of stallholders expressing their frustration at how many markets have gone ahead even though the weather conditions are appalling and definitely unattractive to customers.

Market organisers need good stallholders, otherwise, they don't have an event. Therefore, they should be putting a much higher value on their reliability & continued support.

It goes both ways but put simply, stallholders should not be made to trade in unacceptable & potentially dangerous conditions just so the market organiser doesn't have to issue a refund or a credit.
