Introducing Melissa, one of Buckle's Directors. Melissa began her journey with Buckle in 2008 as a Marketing Coordinator, when Buckle was under the management of the Buckle family.
In 2013, Melissa and Warren teamed up to purchase the business, and together they have overseen the brand's growth over the past 11 years.
We asked Melissa about her favourite part of leading the Buckle team:
"Buckle has always had a family-like atmosphere, which makes it a pleasure to come to work.
It's challenging to pick just one favourite moment. We have great Christmas parties where we eat like kings. And we've shared fun experiences, like pasta-making classes and painting workshops.
The most memorable period was when we moved from Summer Hill to Stanmore in 2014. We had more than 50 years of history to bring across, not to mention all the machinery and leather!
The biggest changes in the business have been in technology and forecasting abilities, allowing us to reduce our average production turnaround from 10 days to 2-4 days."
