Alright, so I am a romantic at heart. Any soppy love story, movie, song, gesture, you name it, it’s right up my alley.

This weekend was the last weekend of the school hols here in Sydney and with dad away, I decided to spend it at home, giving myself and my little ones some down time with movie marathons and a bit of sewing. The aim of the movie marathon was to show them movies they hadn’t seen before (and to save my sanity from watching frozen for the 1500th time!). Todays movie was a remake of Cinderella, which inspired this beauty. She will be available in the shop next week!

Hey legends!

I know I’ve been a little quiet on here. Life has been SUPER busy lately and unfortunately it’s meant I’ve had to let El & Bel Handmade social media side take a backseat for awhile while I juggle Mumlife, Worklife and sewing up orders from you amazing people!

Keep an eye on this space, I am already thinking of Christmas (only 3 months left!) and can’t wait to share with you what I have in mind! 🤙🏽

💐Today is for all the beautiful Mothers, soon-to-be Mothers, and Mother figures out there.

Some days are easy, some are extremely hard, but each day we try our best, learn new things about our babies, and ourselves.

I feel extremely blessed to have my three babies. Even if they were sick today (of all days!) Being their mama is the best job I’ve ever had.

Hey legends, it’s Beth here.

You may (or may not have) noticed that I’ve been a little MIA on here. Time to step up and give you all a bit of real talk and a life update.

The last 1-2 months have been a lot for me. I’m now back at work full time, business has been slow and I have struggled to keep up with the demands of social media, family life + my own mental and physical health has really left me feeling absolutely drained of any energy I usually have.

I have considered whether to post this, or just throw in the towel, but that would go against the reason I started this business originally, which was to share my joy and love for sewing and embrace how it has turned into a calming joy that I can come and go from when needed, and then to encourage others to also find joy in it.

Life is alot right now. A lot.

While I love sewing and creating, truth be told, I have had a) no energy and b) no time to get into it. I am drained.

Usually I encourage people to take break for themselves when needed, to listen to their body when it’s telling them to slow down - and I have been trying to do that the last few weeks.

Going forward I’m not sure how often I’ll be on here. I’ll continue to sew and slowly get back into it.
