Hand quilting love.

Using my ruler as my stitch guide. I've chosen a thread colour that blends into the liberty fabric. I still want the liberty fabric to be the star.

Em wanted to create something this morning using my fabric scraps. So together we cut out the letters of her name and stuck them to some linen. When I have some time, I will make her a small decorative pillow for her room. ♥️

I had a beautiful soul ask how I made my charm quilt. So I have put a highlight reel together for everyone to look at anytime.

I am a dress maker. Was a dress maker. So I don't have all the fancy quilt making tools. I have my beautiful scissors and knowledge.

Pattern reading using photos is the way I found best for dress making.

I hope this helps someone to make a gorgeous quilt. X

Gosh I love liberty fabric. Another amazing group of prints. They work so well together.

Hopefully I can sneak more hours of sewing in to finish this beautiful quilt.

Several rows have been sewn. Not pressed.

Another lot of squares cut. This time in a different shade.

I still haven't got the supplies needed to finish the other quilts yet. So I may as well keep busy.

I'm so happy with this quilt. I have a beautiful green backing that will go on it.

I did go for a double border. It finishes it off. It was easy to sew. Again, a lot of measuring.

Now to wait till I go into town to get supplies, then I will complete the quilt.

I wonder what it would look like if I reversed the colours? Had the print on the larger squares and the white on the smaller.

Production line sewing at it's best.

I am taking my time. Making sure all pieces face the correct direction.

I do love this green betsy. Emily had a few outfits, over the years, using this print.

I can't finish the patchwork quilt yet. I need to go and get some batting and pins (lots of them). When I go into town next, I will be stopping and getting supplies.

So this amazing betsy will become the next project. I love the colours in this Liberty fabric. It reminds me of summer and our front garden. So when the front trees loose their leaves in autumn, I can sit on our front veranda, quilt over my knees, reading my book (or escaping the kids).
