Sometimes Vintage

Sometimes Vintage We loved treasure hunting so much we thought we’d share our finds with you!

We are a Mother/ Daughter team who love collecting Vintage and Retro Collectables from the 1920's through to the 1970's. We source the unusual, the quirky, the "Must Haves" and the desirables from a wide range of locations and bring them together in one easy location. We often have stalls at local NSW Antique & Collectables fairs and Speciality events. We will post the details of these fairs/events on our page as the details are confirmed.

Hello!
As many of you will be wearing a Red Poppy brooch/pin on Anzac Day (Tuesday 25th April) we thought we'd post a little snippet of information about the significance of the red poppy and how it should be worn.

We're in no means telling anyone how they should wear their brooches but it IS something to consider.

According to tradition, the red of the poppies petals represents the blood of all those who gave their lives, the black seeds/centre represents the mourning of those who didn't have their loved ones return home, and the green leaf represents the grass and crops growing and future prosperity after the war destroyed so much. The leaf should be positioned (if your brooch has one) at 11 o'clock to represent the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, the time that World War One formally ended.

We would also like to acknowledge the men and women who are currently serving in our Defence Forces - THANK YOU.

It’s on again! Looking forward to seeing you all there.
