JacksonDeen Stagewear is looking for a skilled Seamstress with an interest/experience in costume making for the potential of our Outsourcing of some costuming projects and also some input and help with a larger costume construction.

The idea of Outsourcing is there will be a set budget for what Is required.. if you wish to accept said offer you will be paid upon completion of what is needed.

* This is not a permanent role .. just Outsourcing items as need be.

* You must be experienced and know what your doing.

* If you have the ability to do Custom made .. there may be opportunities at a later date.

* I Have a large Social Media presence and your name will be acknowledged with any help given .. this is an opportunity for someone who wishes to advance their own careers.

An oversized Neck piece Featuring the signature Leaf Motifs encrusted with hand sewn jewels with matching beaded Wrist cuffs.

The Neckpiece and Cuffs are appliques i found on Ali express (see last pic) once a backing was ironed onto them they were perfect for beadwork!

I spent some time today at the Freestyle Sewing and Pattern Making Tutoring shop today with the lovely Colleen learning a few things for a project I'm working on.
Colleen was lovely and so helpful.. I thoroughly recommend her to anyone. . I think she learnt a few things from me too today lol!

Stunning XS SIZE costume/ wedding dress.

From the BFM Bridal House under the Hey Roberta! Label.

This is a very small size APPROX 28 inch waist.

Corseted lace up back with beautiful beadwork on bodice.

Horsehair crinoline hemmed .. has dirt marks under frock but not noticeable.

Ideal as costume for a photoshoot.

She is extremely heavily.. Weighs approx 20 kgs

The fabric is beautiful.. this would have retailed for around $8000.

I'm offering this as a gift for anyone that can make use of it.

The Fabulous up and coming Superstar of the Adelaide Drag Scene in a recent photoshoot featuring her hand made headpiece and neckpiece by Jack Matthews for !

The headpieces is called a "Bandette"

It was one of the first pieces that Jullianne taught me how to make..

The wire base is actually a coat-hanger

Which is then bound in Lycra..covered in sequin fabric then embellishments/beads /leaf motifs are added..

Each bead is individually hand sewn on.. not glued....

All the leaf motifs are also individually hand drawn and cut then covered in fabric

Many hours are spent on one.. they usually take at least a week for me to make one

All the beadwork on the neckpiece are individual beads all hand strung together too xx

Introducing .. "The Summer Bride" ...

The First release from the JacksonDeen Stagewear collection .. a collaboration between Jullianne Deen - The Costume Queen and Jack Matthews.

The Summer Bride was due for release well, a few summers ago .. but now she is ready to Grace the stage.

This was one of the first corsets and skirt I made from the lace fabric of an old vintage frock.it also has hand sewn vintage appliques on both items.

I constructed the corset and skirt and through the "magic" of Jullianne Deen from old scraps of white satin fabric and leftover feather boa, she cut and attached a lovely set of Feathered Tails to the back of the skirt and handmade the bow on the back also.

*Costume package includes..

* Appropriate size 8/10 Corset and Skirt

* 2 x Bridal headpieces one made by Jullianne the other by Jack Matthews.

* 1 x Heart shaped ring bearers satin cushion "Prop" made by Jack Matthews.

* Vintage Jullianne Deen Beautifully beaded Bra and G String .. which I've added from my inventory, unknown Bra cup size ..but Is on the larger size and the straps on Bra and Gstring may need some work given their age.

* There is a slight yellowing .. but that would be unnoticeable on stage.

* Comes beautifully Gift Boxed in the signature JacksonDeen business colours.

Asking price $125.00. with postage included in price.

Payment to be made to my Business Bank account or PayID. Upon payment notification it will be posted the following business day.

* Buyer Beware* .. although she looks fabulous on a Dressmakers mannequin.. she has never been worn by a person .. she may need a bit of tinkering with to make her sit on an actual person.. or maybe not😊

Hi All ... Sew! ... This year marks 10 years of my costuming journey .. 5 years as the Costumers Apprentice under the tenure of Jullianne Deen - The Costume Queen and 5 years of going it alone beyond her passing.

In those years I have amassed quite the inventory,
And now it's time to let them go .. I can't hold onto them forever .. as much as I want to .. many pieces need a Stage to Grace instead of collecting dust in my studio!

Starting tomorrow, and twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays).. I will be selling off the inventory I have and posted to my Socials.

There will be an assortment of...

* Jullianne Deens
* Various other pieces I've acquired over the years

All pricing will include postage to whomever might want some Fabulous pieces of History!

* Sneak Peak *

My Journey through 2023 has been a difficult one to say the least .. it's been a Roller Coaster ride of emotions .. but I've tried my best to keep myself busy and keep moving forward instead of dwelling on the past.

Part of being productive has been spending time in the workshop and working on several projects.

I've literally been hand sewing hundreds of beads onto smaller things to eventually sew onto larger things ... to eventually form my Collection of Pretty things..

Its been a very slow process but the hours upon hours of beadwork has filled my head with my imagination of Glamour and Fantasy and has distracted me from the thoughts of reality and making pretty things makes me happy 😊

I'm working towards something next year ..
I'm not sure quite what yet..

But I'm looking forward to showcasing my pretty things to everyone ❤️

"Sleeves of Thunder"
She finally Made it to Goolwa!

This beautiful Kaftan was created by Jack Matthews for the Late Penny Traitor to be showcased at the annual Goolwa show .. unfortunately Penny never got to wear it. .. But her Sister Ruby did on Saturday night in a beautiful tribute performance.

I think this is the proudest moment to date of my costuming journey... Well done Ruby.. Penn would be so proud .. as everyone was❤️
