Our first Corsets are here!!! haven't seen our website now's a great chance, check out this beauty. Made during Pride month what else would I make? Rainbow Corset!!! this is a Medium sized corset made from rainbow satin with a cotton lining (also rainbow) with black satin binding and a cotton duck mid layer for added strength and support, the boning is sprung steel which is both strong and flexible, for support and movability. Measurements are Bust: 92cm/36" Waist 71cm/28" Hip: 92cm/ 36"

My first garment piece drafted! The Eaton Jacket. I'm not usually a fan of the big puffy sleeves but I think in this case it works so well.
This wasn't even as puffy as I could have gone, but enough for my taste I think. This is all done to a 1/2 scale model while I'm learning, I will hopefully get to full scale eventually, but first more practice! hmmmm what's next? 🧐

Starting an adventure in to the keystone Drafting system. There are so many resources available online for this, which helps because this is no simple system to master. Why attempt something so difficult and now irrelevant? well why not. Why not keep alive the traditions of our past? Why let them fade into obscurity? Because It helps to know where we come from. Because understanding the past, going back to those roots can help understand how we got to where we are today. Also because for me it's fun, it helps me focus and I'm learning, and improving my skills.
