Kristine Philpot, recycling Zero Hero and owner of a boutique gift shop located in the Murray River region Miss Daisy is dedicated to changing this 🌼.
As her business grew, Kristine became increasingly conscious of the plastic waste produced through her store. She now uses TerraCycle Zero Waste Boxes to recycle soft plastics and complex plastic waste like empty hand cream tubes, lipstick testers, and lotion pump bottles.
“I've looked at ways of reducing my plastic waste in my gift shop by using brown paper packaging and gift wrapping, recycling all cardboard delivery boxes,” says Kristine, “And also buying from many wholesalers and manufacturers who share my environmental concerns.” She sources from local suppliers where possible to reduce transport emissions.
