It is a sad day for me but a necessary one....Linda's Dressmaking Toowoomba is closing. Physical limitations and a new career path have brought me to the decision that I cannot continue to keep this business going. I have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunities you, my wonderful customers have provided for me to be creative, helpful and be a part of your special moments! Dear customers, I am so grateful for trusting me with your precious items to create, mend, repair or alter! I am taking a break to do full time study so until further notice I am not taking new orders. I can confidently recommend Bluebird Dressmaking and Rachel's Custom Sewing, both in Toowoomba area and both on FB. I may return to work at the end of the year but no guarantees of that.
I want to thank you all for your trust and the many referrals to friends and family, and for those who have been regulars over the last 10+ years! It has been a pleasure and privilege to serve you, and in partnership with you, make some dreams come true. I'm very grateful! God bless you all and may you find Jesus and His amazing love.

"Last Friday after my sister had her chemo treatment, we stopped at Kinders for a quick lunch. And God sent this amazing Angel to us! My sister sat outside, dazed, exhausted and ready for a nap. I went back inside to go pay for our food and got to talking to this gentleman who helped take our order. I shared with him about my sister just finishing chemo. He said God bless her, I said thank you, grabbed our food and headed outside. A few minutes later, I went back inside to get boxes for our food. He stopped me, looked me in my eyes and said “mam, please tell your sister that I just stopped and prayed for her and God has her. She’s going to be ok!” It honestly took my breath away. I believe God sent this man as an Angel to our family. To give us peace all weekend long knowing today would be the day we heard the best news ever!! I went to Kinders 4 different times today trying to find him and figure out who he is! This you guys, is my new friend Byron. A man God used to touch our lives and hearts in such a beautiful way! I just had to go back in to thank him and share with him that God answered our prayers...his prayer! He grabbed my hands and cried with me. Right there in the middle of his place of work.
He hugged me tight after we officially introduced ourselves and it’s a moment I won’t ever forget in my entire life!


He didn’t have to share with me last week that he had prayed. He didn’t have to tell me the things he did. But he did and my heart is so thankful! He showed me that there are still good people in this world. Love always wins. Always. And I thank Jesus for such a special moment I will hold in my heart forever 💜💜💜"

Last week, Domino's Coolum received a call from a local Mum hoping to cancel the large order she had placed as a number of her daughter's peers hadn't turned up to her birthday party 🥺

When she arrived at the store to collect the one pizza, shift supervisor Miles surprised her with a custom chocolate dessert pizza topped with churros & brownies!

Thank you Miles for going the extra 'mile' to help turn this customer's day around.

Want a feel good story?

Yesterday on our way home, we broke down 2 hours away from home… on a busy interstate with three kids in tow. It wasn’t exactly ideal, especially with a hungry newborn. I wouldn’t get the baby out of his seat to feed him incase we got smacked by another vehicle on the highway, he was the safest in his seat. We called dispatch and AAA and an Alabama State Trooper showed up to help. I thought he was just going to divert traffic away from our lane, but he did so much more than that.

He loaded the kids and I in his car and got us off the highway and to the closest rest stop. Sean stayed with the car to wait for the tow truck. He checked the bathroom for ‘boogiemans’ so Madeline could use the restroom. He shot illuminating helicopters in the sky with the kids while I made calls to try to get home. Major got really fussy when I was trying to wrangle my other children and calm them down from the evenings happenings. Without hesitation, he took Major out of his seat and gave him the bottle I had prepared from earlier. It seemed like he does that everyday, knew how to hold him and when to burp him. Major even filled his pants during his feeding and the trooper laughed and continued feeding him.

He then helped unload all of our stuff from our car to his and drove our family to the nearest hotel. It was late, nothing was open, and we couldn’t get a rental car until the morning. He helped unload our unruly amount of crap into our hotel room, told us where all the rental car places were, gave the girls a hug, and told us to call if we needed anything.

That my friends… is humanity. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
