My sewing room is certainly looking busy!

A little booking update from Alison’s Coastal Alterations & Repairs.

I’m so grateful for all the support and for everyone who continues to trust me with their new clothes, special occasion outfits and much-loved favourites.

My appointment book is filling very quickly:

30th November is my only remaining availability
🧵 DECEMBER - limited availability I current have appointments available on: 1st, 2nd, 7th, 9th, 14th December .

If you have something that needs hemming, resizing, altering or repairing, please book ahead where possible.

My daughter asked if Mum could make her a toiletry bag… so of course I had to give it a go!

I found some scraps of fabric in my stash and made this little beauty.

Yes, I know the pattern doesn’t match 😂 but for a first attempt, I’m pretty happy with it! It’s a great size and I’m already planning the next ones.

And the next ones? Made from towels!

It’s been a little quiet over here lately… but I’ve definitely not been quiet at the sewing machine!

Today I’m working on a lovely grey woollen jacket that needs to be resized smaller. I’m making my own bias binding to finish the alteration neatly and professionally.

I love these little behind-the-scenes jobs — taking a favourite garment and giving it a new lease on life rather than letting it sit unworn.

I might have been quiet on social media, but there’s been plenty happening behind the scenes at Alison’s Coastal Alterations & Repairs!

What a busy and rewarding month at Alison’s Coastal Alterations & Repairs!

I’ve had the pleasure of working on a beautiful variety of garments, including bridesmaids’ dresses, mother-of-the-bride and groom outfits, zip replacements, clothing alterations for the perfect fit, and sewing custom garments. It’s always an honour to help bring your vision to life and ensure you look and feel your best for every special occasion.

A special highlight has been creating these scrubs for my daughter Chelsea seeing her wear something handmade with love makes my work even more meaningful.

Thank you to everyone for your continued support. Your trust in my work means so much.

Wishing all my wonderful customers a safe and relaxing Easter break. Thank you so much for your continued support

I will be taking a short break while I have family staying, and I am currently fully booked until Wednesday 15th April.
